Meet Earl Khaatib Marshall | Small Business Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Earl Khaatib Marshall and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Earl Khaatib, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
With the density and restrictive real estate in New York City I identified a large demand for bringing the car wash to the customer. No one wants to lose their parking spot & the brick and mortar stores take a huge chunk of your day while also making you vulnerable to unwanted traffic jams. I recognized the demand and decided to fill it..

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
jet Mobil recently began serving the Atlanta, area under the assumed name Atlanta’s Valet Car Wash. With the same commitment to quality & convenience required to accommodate a New York Minute – Atlanta’s Valet Car Wash provides recurring, On-The-Spot car wash and deep steam cleaning on all passenger, light duty, or commercial vehicles.
When I began as New York’s Mobile Car Wash at LaGuardia Airport servicing drivers in the ride-share pool I had to learn quickly about EPA regulations, DEP requirements, and many other considerations for public safety. Diligence and mentorship from the SBS assisted me in registering my firm with the Port Authority streamlining the process of becoming more compliant with nationwide agency mandates and creating opportunities to work directly with federally funded projects and agencies.
The wealth of information obtained through the free mentorship programs of NYC catapulted my firm to the head of an emerging industry and positioned us to where we are now – offering our Easy-living White Glove service to resident properties across the Midtown district. We’ve fully upgraded since graduating the mentorship program and expanding to Atlanta, converting our mobile equipment to full steam operation reducing our waste production to nearly 0% and introducing an unrivaled level of confidence through our state of the art steam applications in this era of COVID-19

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m still getting familiar with the best places to patronize around Atlanta but if a friend were to visit me from out of town, firstly, I’d cross my fingers that its one of my friends who isn’t allergic to seafood. I absolutely love seafood and would have to introduce them to The Juicy Crab.. The Cigar Club on Roswell Rd is an awesome place to entertain; quality cigars and spirits and a tasty menu. Midtown Bowl never disappoints and Piedmont Park is surrounded by quaint eateries, small shops and miles of Belt line to walk & enjoy.
Atlanta is filled with tons of inspirational people who influence our daily culture, like Tyler Perry. The list of influencers and pioneers in and from Atlanta is endless – it’s a great place for a minority business to grow.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Small Business Services of New York City should be recognized for helping me to establish my small business firm jet Mobil and certifying it as an M/WBE, (Minority, Women-owned Business Enterprise.)
