We had the good fortune of connecting with Dylan Cole and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dylan, what’s your definition for success?
Most people define success as money and fame but in my opinion is when I am at the point in my singing career where my music is touching people in a significant way. I write all my songs and they are very personal to me. So for me the ultimate success would be when I am looking out at millions of fans on stage loving my music and singing along to it.

Who are you and what sets you apart from other musicians?
I am Dylan Cole, Young Teen Singer/Songwriter. What sets me apart from others is my style of songwriting and creativity. Even though, I am young, I write songs that have deeper meaning and feelings. For example, my single “Time Traveler” was written about my social anxiety stemming from a bullying situation i had in school. However, I chose to make the music visual about the Teen Opioid Abuse Crisis. Its important to me that my music is impactful and not just empty.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Well, my journey started at 9 years old when I told my mom I wanted to sing. She was able to find an amazing Artist Development Expert, Brandon Smith at “Star Factory”. He was instrumental in giving me the tools I needed to grow in my singing abilities. From that connection, hard work, and determination, I started to gain more opportunities to perform all over. Professionally, I just try to always strive for greatness!

Do you think the music industry is easy to maneuver through?
Absolutely not! The music industry is HARD! With me being young, people tend to not take me seriously. I have to constantly prove my talent. But I don’t mind because it makes me go harder.

I learned that you can’t let people get to you and to always fight for what you want.

I want the world to know that Singing/Songwriting is my passion! I can’t wait until you all know me through my music which is knowing my heart.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Ok this is The “D” so we going to have fun! First things first, we got to hit the studio and maybe my bestie can help me create some music and vibe. Then, we could go Downtown to the Riverwalk. It’s so much to do there. Maybe check out a movie, preferably a Scary Movie is out because I LOVE horror. We can get some shopping in at Great Lakes Crossing or if we are feeling bougie (lol) we can go to Somerset.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to my mother because she has believed in me since Day 1. She keeps me motivated and focused. She’s Superwoman!
