Meet Dr. Sheirra Marci | Director & Tutor

We had the good fortune of connecting with Dr. Sheirra Marci and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dr. Sheirra, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Interestingly enough, I have had a passion for teaching since 9th grade and a passion for training since I became a retail manager in 1999. In March 2013, I walked away from a retail store after 9 years of feeling undervalued. I knew it was time to do something more meaningful with my time. I was finishing up my associates degree in 2013 when I was first approached about tutoring. My son was playing football and several of the moms asked me if I tutored. My response was “I do not, but I can.” That is how Marci’s Creative Nspirations LLC got started. I was passionate about helping students of all ages learn new things, enhance things they were already good at, and build confidence.

What should our readers know about your business?
Marci’s Creative Nspirations LLC is different from other tutoring businesses because I recognize the potential in each one of my students. With a customizable approach, I have seen consistent improvements in my students’ test scores and grades. Since 2013, my results are a testament that my system works. I cater to the specific needs of each student. My passion, patience, and professionalism sets me apart for others. Not only do I help my students reach their goals but I help build their confidence as well. One of my favorite mottos is “We can do anything we want to do if we simply try.” My business just celebrated our 9 year anniversary in March 2022. I am most excited about leaving a lasting stamp on the world while I can through tutoring, writing inspirational books, and mentoring. Making the decision to start my tutoring business was not easy. I experienced inconsistencies, scheduling conflicts, and a few setbacks. However, I kept fighting. I kept pushing. I kept making a positive impact on those who believed in my abilities to assist them.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
First, we must have a pamper day which starts at Atlanta Touch Therapy. Atlanta Touch Therapy is the best place for massages in Atlanta. Second, we would get our nails and feet done at French Nails & Spa in Mableton. Next, we would visit Spice House Atlanta in midtown for brunch or lunch. I absolutely love the food, atmosphere, and staff. It’s a whole vibe. I’ve always wanted to visit Black Wallstreet at Stonecrest so that would definitely be on the list. Lastly, my sister sings and performs at Savoy Bar & Lounge Atlanta so we would end the day vibing with the amazing crowd there. There is always something to do here. We would definitely go to the movies, visit Atlanta Station, spend time at Centennial Olympic Park, and catch a Braves or Hawks game if time is on our side. Six Flags is definitely one of my favorite places so we would spend some time there as well. Being a native of Atlanta my best friend would definitely enjoy her time here.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First and foremost, I have to give honor to God, for without his love, grace, and mercy, none of this would be possible. My drive to make a difference in the lives of others is also a contributor to my success. My significant other is also a major factor in my success because he motivates and encourages me to do whatever it is I desire to do. My parents have always played an integral role in my success by encouraging and supporting me effortlessly. My son, who is the #1 reason why I pushed myself and executed my goals tirelessly. I knew he was watching and counting on me to make a difference. Most importantly, all my parents and students, past or present who trusted me to provide tutoring services, those who referred me to others, and all the positive reviews. I am extremely grateful for you all.
