We had the good fortune of connecting with Dr. Quinita Morrow and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dr. Quinita, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factors behind my success are my RELATIONSHIPS! There are so many significant benefits to developing strong relationships with people that you interact with. Building and maintaining professional relationships allows you to begin to create an organizational framework and ultimately, your culture.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I help high school students learn to use marketing strategies in the real-world with a deep meaning of what marketing truly is in terms of networking, branding, and all other aspects of a business. My classes give students an idea of what entrepreneurship and marketing is and helps students use the information that is given to apply it to their future. What I want people to remember most about me and my career is the love and passion that I have for my kids. I did not become an educator because of the pay. I became an educator because I wanted to make a difference in the lives of children. I truly love what I do.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m a huge Atlanta Hawks Fan! If my best friend was visiting the area and I wanted to show her a great time, it would definitely be attending a Hawks Game! As a former college player, I love the game so sitting courtside would be the perfect outing…..or perhaps even in the suite where the food and drinks are bottomless. Before and after the game, there would be a meet and greet with the players. Being a co-caption and shaking hands with the referees and the caption of the opposing team would make it the perfect night. After the game, we’d go into the press conference to hear from the players and coaches.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to shoutout all of my current and former students of Dr. Morrow’s Marketing Class. Over the past 13 years, I have had the honor of teaching such amazing students that have turned Entrepreneurs, CEOs, Doctors, Lawyers, and the list goes on and on! My educational teaching journey would not be what it is without my students. I do what I do each day because of them! I would like to recognize in particular some of the best and brightest to ever do it! These individuals have made me so proud and honored to have been their teacher: Jordan Jackson @blxckclothingco, Kurt Devine @sznssociety, Messiah Harris @phase_4, Domani Harris @domani and Reginald Kelly @richey_reggie.
