We had the good fortune of connecting with Dr. Nakita Davis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dr. Nakita, Let’s talk about principles and values – what matters to you most?
When it’s all said and done. Life is about memories and relationships. We will reflect on the memories of our relationships with others.

My greatest relationship is rooted in my Faith. It is the foundation of how I move. It is my core value system, the backdrop to how and why I do business as the CEO and founder of Jesus Coffee and Prayer Christian Publishing House LLC.

With that being said; the principles that matter most to me are loyalty, honesty, integrity, work ethic, grace, resilience, and love.

Without loyalty, honesty, and integrity, I cannot trust anything that you say or do. Without work ethic and resilience, I cannot trust that you are willing to put in the work or willing to bounce back if you fall.

If you have no grace for others, then you can never expect others to have grace for you in your time of need and no matter how great we may think we are; we all need grace at some point in our lives.

Equally, I am able to hold myself accountable through my own lens.

I strive to operate with clear intentionality with these values in my day-to-day life; both personally and professionally speaking. It has behooved me and enabled me to grow and glow.

I’ve always loved to read, write, and inspire others to greater. When I finally decided to be obedient to the call God placed over my life and write my very own 1st book- the rest took off!

Was it easy?
The decision was easy but anything worth having requires REAL WORK, Dedication, and Commitment. As a full-time entrepreneur now; leaving corporate America to pursue my God-Given Dreams, It is imperative that I have a relentless pursuit to accomplish my goals and the vision God gave me as it unfolds before my eyes.

Lessons I’ve learned can be summed up in an acronym I call the Q.U.E.E.N concept

Quit making excuses

Understand your assignment
**Remember Your Why and the weight of your calling

I want the world to know that God is Good. He is faithful. You can Live-Out Your God-Sized Dreams if only You Believe, Dare to Dream Big, Put in the Work, Uplift others, and Parter with the right ordained connections.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Any of my Queens coming to Atlanta, GA; we are definitely taking a day at the local spa for a little R&R. Lenox Massage & Spa is around the corner from the famous Lenox Square mall and has great, reliable, friendly service. Every Queen needs to decompress from time to time. After a day at the Spa, (60min-90min Swedish massage/Hot stone- with aromatherapy;) I would definitely head to the Atlanta Fish Market to grab an amazing lunch- Twisted Soul Cookhouse & Pours for an early dinner. Culturally speaking, my Queens and I can head over to any of the multi-culturally centered focal points of the ATL to take in the #Culture.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
They say it takes a village to raise a child. I add to that; it takes a Queen to empower a Queen! This shout-out is most certainly a reflection of God’s love for me; but no doubt the 1st Woman to empower me to soar- my beloved late mother: Luetta Williams. She was a bright beaming light to all she encountered and truly God’s gift to me.

In addition, my husband & my children have played an invaluable role in my success. They understand the assignment. We are in this Thang together.

Every Queen who has supported me, done business with me, prayed with me, for me, and sincerely had my back- may God bless you some 10, some 30, some 60 fold!
