We had the good fortune of connecting with Dr. Donna Patterson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dr. Donna, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
The thought process behind starting Rejuvenére Health Medspa began during the height of COVID-19. While working in the hospital, I witnessed firsthand how individuals with conditions like Type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obstructive sleep apnea, and heart disease were at significantly higher risk and more vulnerable to severe COVID complications. I realized then that many of these conditions are preventable, and I felt a strong desire to help people achieve better health and resilience.

This recognition inspired me to create Rejuvenére Health Medspa, where our mission is to empower clients in their wellness journeys. Through focused weight loss support and preventive health services, we aim to reduce the risk factors for these conditions, helping people live healthier, fuller lives.

Rejuvenére Health was born from a commitment to proactive wellness and a desire to make a lasting difference in our community’s health.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
At Rejuvenére Health Medspa, our mission is to empower both women and men by boosting confidence through health and wellness. Driven by a purpose to make a positive impact in every life we touch, we are passionate about helping our clients improve their health, enhance their confidence, and embrace lasting lifestyle changes.

We’re also deeply committed to building a healthier community, focusing on weight loss to reduce the risks of chronic conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, and strokes.

Our dedication keeps us moving forward despite any challenges; when our clients succeed, we succeed.

What sets Rejuvenére Healrh apart is our genuine commitment to personalized care. We listen carefully to each client’s needs and develop tailored wellness plans to support their unique journey. Specializing in medical weight loss and preventive health, we focus on reducing health risks, restoring confidence, and enhancing quality of life.

Reaching this point hasn’t always been easy, but each challenge has strengthened our commitment to our mission.

Finally,. I believe in “lifting as you climb,” a philosophy that drives me to empower others and give back to my community. We’re excited to keep expanding our impact, knowing that every client success story brings us closer to our vision.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I am home bodied and love spending time improving my knowledge. However, if I were to go tour on the road for the day or week, I would consider the following intimate. :

Day 1: would start out with a healthy breakfast at Kale Me Crazy, where we’d enjoy fresh juices, smoothies, and a light, nutritious meal to kick off the week.

For the afternoon, we would take.a walk through Piedmont Park, enjoy the lake, and relax with nature on a picnic blanket or stroll through the Atlanta Botanical Garden nearby.

For dinner, we’d visit Cafe Intermezzo and soak in its European coffeehouse vibe over some incredible desserts and coffee.

Day 2: would consist of Arts and Entertainment starting with brunch at The Cheesecake factory in Buckhead

We would then head to The High Museum of Art to see the latest exhibits, followed by a walk through the artsy streets of the Westside for some boutique shopping.

The evening would consist of a show at the historic Fox Theatre and experience Atlanta’s cultural charm with a Broadway play or concert.

For Day 3: we would enjoy some wine & Live Music, but worst we would start the Morning off easy with breakfast and coffee at Dancing Goats Coffee Bar in Ponce City Market.
This would be followed by a day of Exploring Ponce City Market, browsing through shops, and maybe take a stroll on the nearby BeltLine trail.

Evening: Visit City Winery for a relaxed evening of wine tasting, live music, and a delicious meal—perfect for unwinding and enjoying the atmosphere.

Day 4: Shopping & Scenic Views
Morning: Enjoy breakfast at South City Kitchen in Midtown for a taste of Southern cuisine. Followed by an Afternoon: shopping at Lenox Square and Phipps Plaza for a classic Atlanta shopping experience.

For the evening we would : Head to Skyline Park on top of Ponce City Market for fun games, snacks, and a panoramic view of the city at sunset.

Let the adventure continue with Day 5: – time to walk off those extra calories.

We would drive out to Stone Mountain Park to take in some nature and hike up the mountain for a scenic view and pack a picnic lunch for a relaxing midday break.
For the evening. We would return to the city and catch a movie at IPIC Theater in Colony Square, where we can enjoy a luxury movie experience with in-seat dining.

For day 6, we would start the day with breakfast. We would want to explore the history and heritage of the city but first we would need to eat Morning: Breakfast at Home Grown GA, a popular spot for Southern comfort food.

Followed by Afternoon: Visit the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historical Park to explore Atlanta’s rich history and heritage.
Evening: Dinner at Mary Mac’s Tea Room to enjoy classic Southern dishes.

By Day 7, I would be ready to relax and stay in.. I would want to order take ins for breakfast or cook a homemade meal and relax.. by the afternoon we would : Relax and reflect with a spa day or take a final walk through one of Atlanta’s park. Finally by evening we would end with dinner at Ecco in Midtown for a delicious Mediterranean-inspired meal to cap off a fantastic trip.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The person who has most inspired me on my journey as an entrepreneur is undoubtedly Candace Holyfield Parker—widely known as @sixfigurespachick on Instagram. Her mentorship, dedication, and genuine commitment to seeing her mentees succeed as business owners have earned my loyalty and trust.

Candace draws from her own experiences and a deep desire to see Black and Brown spa and beauty professionals thrive in an industry where we are often underrepresented. Her guidance has been invaluable.

Of course, I’m also deeply grateful for the support of my husband, my daughter, and all those who have offered encouragement, prayers, love, and unwavering support. Each of these individuals has played an important role in my journey, and I wouldn’t be where I am today without them..
