We had the good fortune of connecting with Dr, Cryshaunda Rorie and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dr, Cryshaunda, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind the success of my brand is that we cater to minority kids who have interest in the entertainment business. It can be very daunting to parents to understand the process of how to get their kids noticed and we serve as the bridge for that. Our parents learn as their kids learn so that no one has an opportunity to be scammed or used for their talents. Our company serves as a safe space so that kids can learn in a conducive environment to the levels they are on for their needs.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
So I’m Dr. Cryshaunda Rorie by trade but I’m so much more than that day by day. I started my first business, a childrens’ boutique in 2018 called I. Am Blairs Closet named after my then two years old Blair Noelle. I started the business solely because I wanted to establish a business and a legacy that could live beyond me. I was diagnosed with cancer when Blair was six months old. One thing about cancer, even after the fight has been deemed won you still have plenty of silent days and lingering thoughts about the “what ifs”. I knew that if cancer had ever come back to attack my body and I was not as blessed to be able to win the fight again, I at least wanted something established for my child. So, I birthed the business. My daughter as she grew older, got accustomed to the business life. Doing pop-up shows, having photoshoots, speaking engagements and fashion shows. She grew to love the modeling aspect and dressing in her favorite looks for the camera every day.

Because of this, I started branding her as a child model. She walked on her first runway as a two-year-old and hasn’t stopped since. As the years passed and through research and learning how we could make this a career for her the opportunities just started knocking at our door. My social media followers, family and friends were able to have a close-up and personal account of watching us at local events to big shows in New York. They were able to see her grow into a child model and watched as she posed in big-name brand ads and commercials. Because of this, I began to receive daily messages from parents interesting in child modeling. I started teaching a series entitled “Raising a Boss”, I would help parents on the side with what I knew and would try my best to be as authentic as possible in my responses. Then God said MORE! I never dreamed of building or owning an agency. If anything, I would run from the thought of it simply because I didn’t care to have the responsibility of others most precious gifts.

But, after much thoughts, prayers, strategic planning and building an everlasting team, I was able to lay my worries down and pick up my faith. So, I birthed Noelle Model & Talent Group. We are a model/talent group that caters to children ages 3-17. Our primary focuses are model, talent, pageant, acting and voice-over. We are bridging the gap for parents who do not understand the industry, do not know were to start and/or want their child’s modeling career to flourish. I’m most proud of the work that we have done in such a little time of existing. Many booked ads, fashion shows, plays, monologues, pageant winners and the list goes on. I couldn’t and wouldn’t be successful without my powerful team and I owe the world to them. Our group focuses on the five points of promises which are DEVELOPMENT, MARKETING, NETWORK, EXECUTION and FINANCE. These are the components we use to foster our child models and to educate their guardians on for a successful and long-lasting careers.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
