We had the good fortune of connecting with Dr. Corine Ferebee and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dr. Corine, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I knew that in order for me to truly be happy I need to develop a sense of balance in my life. Corporate America was not going to allow me to do the things that truly brought me joy and reach the level of success that I desired. I need to create a lane that would allow me to make the decisions in my life that would bring me happiness. Therefore, I created Trinity Wellness Rx Consulting, LLC.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
It wasn’t until I faced my own challenges personally that I became clear as what I wanted to do professionally. Five years ago I was diagnosed with Lupus Nephritis. I had been suffering with symptoms for the last ten years of my life constantly being excuses as to why I was experiencing various issues. Eventually, my body began to shut down presenting with kidney disease and extreme fatigue. Doctors worked urgently to manage my disease state. Although I was given a total of 13 medications, I was never educated on diet and exercise. Because I was a health professional, I was able to do the research and develop a lifestyle management plan for myself. Before I knew it, I had come off all of my medications and was beginning to enjoy life again. I immediately became passionate and wanted to serve and add value to the world by educating on integrative health and functional medicine strategies also known as lifestyle medicine. The goal has been and continues to be teaching others how to rebalance their bodies for optimized health and healing.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
There are so many things to do in Atlanta. I would definitely want to have a mixture of cultural learning and fun activities planned. On Monday, we would start with The National Center for Civil and Human Rights followed by an early dinner at none other than Slutty Vegan. On Tuesday we would hit the thrifting scene and end with a great dinner at Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen. On Wednesday, we would get in some exercise at Atlanta Botanical Gardens and enjoy the scenery. On Thursday we would have a relaxing spa day at Chateau Elan Winery and Resort with a wine tasting to end the night. On Friday we would end the week with another historical site… Martin Luther King Jr National Historical Site. Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
The person I would shoutout would be Jerrica Dodd (Pharmacist and Business Coach). She was the first to believe in my dreams and cheerlead me through the beginning of the process. Jerrica helped me to understand that I deserve a seat at the table and I am worthy. She believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself.
