Meet Dr. Chanel | Special Needs Law Advocate, Author and Serial Entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Dr. Chanel and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dr., every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
..that is a great Question. I came up with the idea for my businesses, by being fueled by the thought process of the old saying “If you enjoy what you do for a living, then you’ll never truly work a day in your life’”. I have come to realize, that saying has become very profound, in my daily walk professionally.
Having the passion of being a woman of resolve, to help those that are around me in many different entities in life, surely brings about my life being fulfilled. As a serial-entrepreneur, each and every one of my businesses, are linked to many different guilty pleasures that I enjoy. They all have significant meaning, either personally or spiritually.

What should our readers know about your business?
My Advocacy Firm is a Social Organization/Advocacy Firm; that is dedicated and designed to assist families with all of the makings of helping them get assistance with their loved ones. Since the last time I spoke with you all, being a firm of our own now, we now also work 47 other Law Firms. We pair families with the appropriate lawyers and advocates that can assist with any questions, comments or concerns that a family or loved one should have.
We specialize in a family activity monthly to get those families out with our high functioning kiddos on the spectrum that can enjoy such things that we set forth with a day full of activities. Please check our website for more details and specifics on what’s happening. Please subscribe to our email list for important dates and events.
We’re delighted to be different because we also, have a parent group that meets up, to allow one another to share briefings of knowledge and unwind on what troubles we may be experiencing, and what gems of information can we learn from one another. A total judgement free zone, why?! Because we all understand one another. The spectrum of special needs; is so very wide and broad, all of our kiddos may have different challenges, but in the special needs community we all have the common denominator, and that’s to love on all of our Spectrum Scholars regardless of what they go through. As a proud spectrum Mother. I stand firm and tall, with pride that your kiddos can overcome anything, especially with their parents and or loved ones committed to seeing them through any challenge that may arise.
Please do check out my Latest Book “There’s Peace In My Pieces” this book is most near and dear to my heart. Now Available, in both of my offices, Amazon, Walmart and Barnes. I was able to publish it under my own publishing company, “A Jet-SetHER Production” it’s dedicated to all of my special needs community.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to give credit and due diligence to my Mother, and Grandmother. My village is par-none. I have eons of responsibilities, and knowing that I have them there definitely makes for a comforting experience.
Much love and loads of respect to my two reasons with purpose. My sons. The Premium Gas that fuels my Drive on the daily. I am grateful for them. Regardless of what I’ve accomplished, God choosing me to be their mother is my MOST rewarding Blessing.
Shoutout to The Devastating Divas of DST, love you Sorors, and also much love to my church…New Birth under the Tutelage of Pastor Jamal Bryant; My Pastor and who happens to be apart of The Devine 9!!! ![]()
