We had the good fortune of connecting with Donnie Bqnks and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Donnie, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
So my start behind starting my own business was simply financial freedom. It was simply giving people a new defined look on what it is to be entrepreneur in the Heating & Air Field , and to make it look different. I know there’s a lot of people that look like me, and act like me , that may not go the traditional route for income, and this was the route for me.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Was it easy Heavens no but for me, a part if my life is my background and marketing. It allows me a creative space to connect with people on a more than traditional way, I’m most proud of the people that ask me questions from little cousins to family members to just people. I didn’t even know that they wanted hear my story, so for me this journey was definitely not easy. It came with a lot of obstacles and moments that I wanted to give up and quit, the lesson that I learned is you can do any anything you put your mind to, I think for me I want the world to know that through hard work, through surrounding yourself with the right people , through telling yourself yes when other people say no, you can do anything you put your mind to and I solely believe that. I’d like people to know that we actually care about you and your property. We respect customers we honor customers and it’s in the name we believe that everything should be done on time.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
So for me and my friends as far as brunch, it would definitely be party of five ATL for brunch one of the best spots in Atlanta for a good lunch spot. I like real tacos so I love the area of like ponce and beltline area , that and if they wanted like a good sushi happy hour vibes I’d do Ru San’s

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
So for me, I would credit getting into this field from my younger cousin Reggie McCord. He also owns a heating and air company McCord heating air, as well as a trucking company and he definitely got me in this field. I would say my friend Jonathan Gates, Nejai White, Jordan Lee, CW Watson, Dj Hughes , just to name a few of my family and friends that provided me support and encouragement, along the way, and last but not least GOD provided me with the strength to push through some tough days and nights.
