We had the good fortune of connecting with Donna Peera and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Donna, what principle do you value most?
The most important principle is honesty. When you have honesty in your life; you are free to be and say whatever you feel as well as the person you are dialoguing with. You can disagree but honesty helps us see past the facade or games people play. People spend too much time trying to look ‘normal’ or ‘good’ and what they need to be is comfortable with who they are honestly loving themselves and the same with each encounter is an opportunity to be able to be real. I remember when I was being laid back and no makeup and working physical errands around my office and a woman came in. She had days mixed up that I was open. She had long false eyelashes, long fake nails, lots of make up and an updo hairstyle. She had flashy clothing and stileto heels. I said, “You have come a bit early as we are not opened for business hours this time.” I said, I was busy doing housecleaning in the office and she looked at me and said, “You are a mess!” I didn’t even know her and inside my head i thought “You’re the mess; you cannot even function without all the accessories of false image and beauty.” Anyway, I just said, “Hey, you know you’ve got to be real and this is who I am. If you can’t be real; then how can you function. Being real is what we can be to ourselves most of all and each other.” She hugged me and agreed and said she would come on a day that were my office hours. You see what you see is what you get with me and I encourage that with anyone to embrace we are imperfect and the divine perfection is the beauty of that. It allows us to unify and UNCONDITIONALLY LOVE EACH OTHER.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My journey in life has not been easy. I was born with certain healing gifts amongst untrained healers or those who didn’t understand their own gifts to mentor me. My work is rewarding as I see each person and a pure potential to transform. Each person is an unlimited being of unlimited possibilities. My work with hands on healing with Reiki developed me more as a healer and my gifts expanded with Shamanism as I healed myself along the way with others. After taking certifications in Reflexology, Sound Healing and Acupressure; I found that my gifts in the intuitive field stretched into the animal world helping pet owners and their adopted pets to be calm and adjust to their new living spaces. I am unique because my spirituality embraces by Spirit guidance into different cultures and belief systems. I can access the stories and take the empowering lessons and it goes across the spiritual and belief systems around the world. I call it divine timing and Spirit gives me enough to teach to be effective for that moment and time. Many people cannot understand that I can expand the theory of healing and blend other theories of healing. I am not limited to understanding others if they give me the opportunity to engage and assist and learn from them. We are all living lessons for each other to understand and grow from. Blue Thunder Healing is known for getting in nature and being present in the stillness and listening and learning. It’s an adventure that keeps growing as I grow and learn healing and other possibilities of it in Pure Light. I hope to encourage others that once we let go of the EGO; we can experience the ease and flow of opening our minds by my work; I hope others are empowered enough to see that life can be much less complicated with faith in flow.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take them to Amicalola Falls or Helen, Georgia for hiking or tubing weather permitted. I then would take them to a nice meal in Helen which is a little German town to savor their local German sausages and beer and taste the home made candies or abelskivers which is a dessert like a fried fritter doughnut with cream, powdered sugar and strawberries. After that the next day is going Buford Hwy where there are so many Asian types of cuisines from Korean, Malaysian, Chinese, Mexican and Thai. I would take them to Food Terminal and for dessert or the bubble teas to Sweet Hut. We would then take another ride to Stone Mountain Park where you can hike trails and watch the kayakers and boaters near the waters edge. I would take our drums, rattles and shakers to just freestyle jam near the water and have a small picnic. Another spot is an Italian spot with cafes, desserts, bar/restaurant and pizzeria near Georgia Tech called ‘Anticos’ best pizzas, cannolis. chicken, pasta and gelatos and cafe”. You can watch the people in the pizzaria toss the dough and bake in the ovens and you eat off of paper and they serve you a large pan you can eat with your hands. It’s a great place to enjoy life. Then I would take you to Chat Pati which is a vegan Indian snack shop and have Chole Bhature which is a airy bread with spicey garbanzo bean sauce and have their local Indian Shakes with tapioca, pistachio, ice cream or yogurt shakes. There are plenty of non vegan and vegan restuarants there and also jewelry, Indian clothing shops to explore along with incense and other sweets. Then I would go to Little 5 Points and see difference New Age stores and shops with unique clothing (African), jewelry, and shops that have vintage or costume clothing to try on and have fun. There are many pubs there to enjoy a beer and restaurants from Vegan, bar food, African food, Thai and Indian. Your choice and visit the “Junkman’s Daughter’ store that will take you back in time with retro gifts, art and clothing. Explore to your content. Well, that’s what I would do with a week to explore. Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I owe the Healium Center a great deal of love for their opening their doors to my alternative healing gifts to share with the community. Healium Center is located in Candler Park Neighborhood. It is an art and wellness center that utilized my ministry with sound healing or life events I tailor for their weddings, unions or funerals that are unique. Healium has allowed me to share my channeling of story telling of Universal life lessons in stories around the globe. I had expanded in my sound healing and my other creative events for the honor of those passed on or for the joy of living and being able to be free in this environment of diversity and arts. I thank Healium Center for creating a space for me to grow and assist those in need of my alternative healing or mentorship. It is a sacred space for all to be welcomed as you are in your own inner creative.
