Meet DONGALA | Emcee/Music Artist, Actor, Ambassador, Host

We had the good fortune of connecting with DONGALA and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi DONGALA, any advice for those thinking about whether to keep going or to give up?
One of main things that always keeps me going is when someone gives me compliments about a song I previously recorded, fashion designs I previously release, or an ad from a company I do brand ambassador work for. Them bringing up something old that I have already move on from but is new them gives me that motivation that I can’t stop now.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
The main craft I work on is my music. I’m a lover of music and I’m always working on what is next for the game that people are not doing with their music. What type of rhyme pattern can I flip where it will attract listeners. Another craft I’ve been working on is fashion. I have the same vibe with that as well. What can I come up with is different from other clothing companies. Can I start a new trend or how can freak a current trend and make it my own. Next my Ambassador work that I do for different companies. I try to work with companies that are bringing something new to the table. The key thing for me that made me popular was time management. Scheduling your day so that you have time to work on your craft. Wither it’s 30 minutes or 3 hours, set time away to focus on your craft as much as you can. Focus on weaknesses and make them strengths. Become unstoppable. Try to make the correct decisions based on issues not emotions. At the end of the day I would like the world to see me as a Renaissance Man, someone who is great in different crafts.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
You can’t come to Atlanta without going to a strip club. One location I love is the Blue Flame Lounge, and you got to get you some wings while you are there. My favorite spot to have brunch is the Real Milk & Honey restaurant. To show love to Atlanta Hip Hop you have to stop by the Trap Museum. Hippin Hops Brewery is one of my fav spots to drink and eat. For the night scene Compound is my fav club to enjoy myself.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Greg Harris, was the person who help me with jumping of my music career. I use to write songs and just write placing the verse and chorus wherever I wanted. He helped me with counting bars and setting up the verses and chorus. The main thing was how to make a hit song. Also Charles Vakala, while in school we co produced a TV Show on TV Access and I learn a lot about being a leader and how to promote, and push a product.
