We had the good fortune of connecting with Domonique “Nikki” Madden and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Domonique “Nikki”, how do you think about risk?
I believe what you truly want is on the other side of Risk. Whether it is concerning Love, Trust, your Goals, Dreams, or Occupation..there is always risk involved because you have no true way of knowing what will come from it, Good or Bad, until you just take that Leap.

Honestly, everything I have accomplished in my business and life has come because I decided to jump into the beautiful,scary,deep pool of the unknown. Being an artist has automatic risk because my success depends on whether others Want what I create.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I specialize in abstract,glass,and resin art. My art is unique because every piece is personalized. I take memories and transform them into masterpieces. Not one piece I have created is the same, and I like to use my abstract pieces to inspire others with different inspirational phrases embedded in the piece. I am so excited for this New Initiative I am planning entitled “The Love Tour”.

It took a lot of dedication, consistency, marketing, and focus to get where I am today. In the age of Social Media, it can be overwhelming and stressful managing all of your platforms and keeping a good presence on them, while still having a career in the medical field. But, I have had the privilege of having friends and family that have been such a great help in me handling everything needed to keep it running smoothly.

I have learned that if you put consistent Works behind Your Faith, God will bless it every single time. This gift and business was God Given and I don’t shy away from telling that to anybody. My purpose is to Love and Encourage others and I hope that is what my brand exudes.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
For Brunch that week we will go to Owen Brennan’s, Sage, Automatic Slims, and Mahogany

For Lunch/Dinner we will eat at Capriccio Grill, Ms. Polly’s Soul City Cafe’, Stoney River, Flight, Majestic Grille, and East Coast Wings

For some R&R we will go to Nail Envy Bar or TNails and Massage envy or Bow Tie Massage

For some Fun we would go to Main Event, Shelby Farms, and Autobahn for some indoor racing

For some great drinks with a nice vibe, some hookah or cigars we will go to Blind Bear, Sticks x Stones, and Havana Mix

For some live music and a good night out we will go to The Hyatt Rooftop, Love, The Weekend, and Manhattan Lounge

Some of my favorite people to listen to are Karen Brown, JBuck, D’Angelo Davis, Jerome Chism, Courtney Little, and Carmen Hicks

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to dedicate my Shoutout to my inspiring, uplifting, and encouraging Parents. My parents have taken on the role of being my assistants, my errand runners, my think tanks, my investors, my counselors, my biggest fans, my biggest supporters, my Everything, since I started my business. I wouldn’t be here without them and I am so grateful for them.
