We had the good fortune of connecting with Dominique McFarland and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dominique, how does your business help the community?
I feel my business helps the community because it allows community to see vulnerability and strength in a different way. My business gives permission for the community to be vulnerable through the transparency of pain to purpose. My business lends a voice by admitting I’m struggling but I still have a yes to move forward to see change starting with me, in the hopes that this type of infectious positivity spread from one soul to the next.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m very passionate about this organization that I started ( Hello Again) because it saved my life. After losing both my sons ages 12 and 17yrs of age in 2016 in Myrtle Beach SC on my sons 17th birthday I needed something to believe in, to hope for, something to help with the magnitude of the pain that I was experiencing. I prayed and asked God to give me something to help me cope he answered and gave me Hello Again. To this day we serve over 2,000 people from all walks of life who share a common thread and that is child loss. What sets us apart is the love and exclusivity that we provide to our families through serving them and honoring each and every family as if they are the only family that we serve. This is what I’m most proud of. We use practical techniques with a biblical approach to help aid our families, even if they don’t believe in God they still feel him through our tangible unique touch, which allows him to do what he does best. HEAL. This has not and is not a easy journey for myself or the grieving parents, but it help along the journey to walk this walk along with friends. The lesson that I have learned on this journey is to always be honest and change is inevitable. I would like for the world to know that you can say Hello Again to leave and mean it no matter what state you find yourself in!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Honestly I’m from a very small town without much to do, so I would have to say that I would take them to a beautiful park surrounded by beautiful nature and a lake. Then head on over to a beautiful restaurant enjoy a nice meal, then go get a massage

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
A special shot out to my support system, my family and closes friends. Without them I wouldn’t be where I am today! Along side my grief counselor Pastor Glen brown and my psychotherapist/counselor Dr. William Hunter
