We had the good fortune of connecting with Dj Kaxkes and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dj, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process was thinking I “CAN” DO IT.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a female disc jockey. I am highly motivated and give all praises to God. I am most proud of running a successful black owned female business. I am excited to see where this journey takes me. I got to where am I today professionally with just one chance from a fellow club manager Jamie Washington. He awarded me my first opportunity to dj on my own at the club, that one night changed my life forever. Some lessons I have learned along the way, is to not be discouraged regardless of who may not like or support you, but to always keep going. Another lesson I have mastered is improvising. I want the world to know that whats for me is for me, I will achieve all of my goals.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to first give Honor to God, secondly, my family and friends, next, would be any djs that have contributed their help in any way, and last but not least all my fans and supporters.
