We had the good fortune of connecting with Dj Big Twin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dj Big Twin, what role has risk played in your life or career?
In entertainment or being an entrepreneur you have to be a risk taker. Sometimes you have to take chances and step outside the box In order to reach your full potential.

Taking chances or being a risk taker has played a major part in my growth as a dj, and entrepreneur. Some people may question my choices but you can never be afraid to fail or even look back It and think what if?

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Music has always been apart of my life but I never would have imagined that I would become a dj. I didn’t step into the calling until I went to college at Valdosta State University (VSU). I met Dj Tremayne while he was djing an event. I was amazed at his ability to interact with and control the crowd. As I practiced my craft I was given the opportunity to work with other djs such as Dj Mike Mars, Dj AK, and Big Nick. These experiences allowed me to find my niche and develop into a more polished dj.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
First, I would take my friends to start the week at Mulligan’s Sports Pub on Mondays. Mulligans is a good laid back spot to come eat great food, especially wings after a long day at work. I would definitely take my friends to Big Nick’s for great food it’s the best soul food restaurant in the South GA area. Whenever you eat at Big Nicks you’re not gonna be dissapointed and you will most definitely leave full!! Definitely gotta take advantage of Oxtail thursdays. Since all of my friends love good live entertainment, I would take them to Sip Jazz & Blues Bar where you can listen to live music, enjoy a good meal, and have drinks. Sip Jazz and Blues Bar has Karaoke every Thursday night along witn live bands playing Fridays and Saturday nights. Then on the weekends especially Saturday nights i would take my friends to Amvets Post 607, a great spot for the 21 and older age group. The Amvets Post 607 is a night club that definitely has great drinks along with a fun atmosphere.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I wanna dedicate my shoutout to my son Breeland Brown. He’s my inspiration and the reason why I’ve been pushing myself and establishing my brand a lot more over the past few years.
