We had the good fortune of connecting with Diamond Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Diamond, what makes you happy? Why?
What makes me happy in life is the precious gift of motherhood god blessed me with. As a proud mother of two boys, ages 11 and 13, my children are the light of my life. Witnessing their growth, nurturing their dreams, and being by their side as they navigate life’s challenges after losing their father to Covid and just loss their stepdad unexpectedly brings me an indescribable joy. The bond we share, the laughter we share, and the moments we spend together are priceless. I am also happy for the resilience that shaped me into the woman I am today. Life has presented me with numerous obstacles, among me being a victim of domestic violence. However, it is through the support and strength of my mother that I have found the courage to rise above these challenges. Her unfaltering love and guidance during her illness has been instrumental in my journey towards healing. Her unwavering support has taught me the value of resilience and has enabled me to find happiness even in the darkest times and I’m just so happy to have a mother like mines. Acting is another source of my happiness. Since discovering TikTok I have showcased my talent ad reenacting my favorite movie scenes. I strive to motivate my viewers and empower them to pursue and through their interactions and positive feedback from my followers, I am continuously reminded of my impact that I can have on people lives.
  

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am Diamond… I am Unique… I am Miss Pretty Ambitious, what sets me apart from others in my journey is not only my passion for acting or becoming one of the top females to host a great podcast, but also balancing the life of a single mother. Balancing the responsibilities of parenting with my creative ways has not been easy, but it allowed me to develop a unique perspective and depth of empathy that shine through in my performances and writing. I am proud of myself because life has a way of throwing unexpected challenges and heartbreaks my way, often leaving me questioning myself worth and purpose. However, it is in these moments that I have a choice to either drown in my pain or rise above it and discover my true potential. As an inspiring actress, I have faced numerous heartbreaks in my search of love, but it is through these adversities that I have found the strength to grow, becoming closer to God, and nurture my passion for acting. I want the world to know that life is a journey filled with trials and tribulations, and for me, this journey takes even more tumultuous turn with experiences of domestic violence. I am one strong female who refuse to let my dreams shatter, finding inner strength, resilience, and purpose. I am one of those individuals. I am the true definition of my black is beautiful.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If one of my friends came to town for a week to visit me, I would love to take them to the main spots that I enjoy when I go out and enjoy the night life. One place I would take my friend is to Wonderland Tapas & Cocktails in Raleigh NC, it is a great choice of mines because it offers a unique dining experience with an extensive menu and delicious tapas and creative cocktails. The vibrant atmosphere and friendly staff make it a memorable spot to enjoy a meal and drinks with your friend. Next choice I would take them to The House of Art also located in Raleigh, it is another great option to explore with friends. It is a contemporary art gallery that showcases local and regional artists’ works. This can be a great opportunity to appreciate and discuss different art styles and interpretations, immerse yourselves in the creative energy of the local art scene. To provide my friend with tranquil and serene experience and give them positive energy I would take them to Lassiter’s Park to mediate in Raleigh, Nc is an excellent idea. This is a beautiful park offers a peaceful ambiance with its lush green spaces, walking trails, and natural surroundings. It can provide a quiet escape from the bustling city and a chance for you and your friend to relax and unwind while connecting with nature. All three spots are my favorite spots to visit and I know anyone would love to visit them.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My mother is my inspiration and my hero, she deserves to be recognized for everything she has done for me. Over the years my mother taught me what bravely really was, and she has fought through five strokes and one heart attack, defying the odds and teaching me the true meaning of perseverance. During the toughest times of my life, when I felt overwhelmed and isolated, my mother became my rock. As I navigated and escaped the clutches of an abusive relationship, my mother offered me the support and a safe haven. Her presence alone provided me with the strength I needed to break free from the cycle of violence and find my voice. With her hand in mine, I not only found the courage to escape but also discovered my deep passion for acting. My mother recognized my talent long before I did, and she encouraged me to pursue my dreams relentlessly. My mother’s indomitable spirit and enduring love shaped me into the person I am today. They say a mother’s love knows no bounds- it is a guiding light that nurtures, comforts, and uplifts us throughout our lives. My mother has also survived almost being killed by the hands of a man she thought loved her. With her advice, love and her smile, she makes me the happiest woman alive to know she made it out of that relationship, and I made it out of mines. My mother is all that I have and without her I’m not.
