We had the good fortune of connecting with Diamond Christian and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Diamond, we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
Outsiders of my industry are probably unaware that candle making is not easy! It may seem like all you have to do is heat wax, add a fragrance oil, pour and light the candle. But that is not the case. It is an actual science that requires months and months of trial, error, experimentation and lots of money spent throughout. Every single aspect of the candle has to be researched and tested prior to being able to sell a candle. For example, the wicks(the piece you burn) are not a one size fits all! Some fragrances will work so well with some wicks and some fragrances you may have to buy a completely different size and brand of wicks in order to ensure a great hot throw and clean burning candle.

What should our readers know about your business?
Flourished Sensations was inspired by the need for mindfulness relaxation that promotes greatness. Our products are made to invoke a sensational feeling that inspires one to flourish and be flourished in all aspects. Each ingredient is hand selected to pair together to provide aromatherapy and sensation. Some scents and products provide favorable nostalgia.

I am most proud of taking the leap of faith, trusting my skill, and my resiliency. Even when I am overwhelmed, I may take a day or two but I come back harder and with new knowledge to pick up and keep going! I am here today only because of my resiliency and constant desire for more. I have also made some wise financial and social investments in my business that I can attribute to where I am today. No, it was not easy at all. I don’t think any part of the journey was easy for me. I just knew that the outcome was the goal and to do what needs to be done to acquire it. When it got tough, I would talk to my fiancé and get his advice and also speak to my peers in the same industry as me. Overall, I always find a lesson it any challenge I come across. I learn more about it and other ways to avoid or manage it, apply it and just go from there. Along the way I’ve learned that you cannot rush greatness and success looks different for everyone. I want the world to give small businesses as much support as the large businesses. I also want all of the world to experience at least one of my products.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
For breakfast – Either Sunny Side Cafe on Monument St. or Eggspectation For crabs- Best Crab or Crab City – take them home and eat on the front porch
Colins and Miss Carters Kitchen has great lunch and dinner

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to dedicate this shoutout to God who gave me the vision and to my children and fiancé’ who helps and supports me daily. I’m also appreciative for my friends and online supporters who believe in me and share my content.
