We had the good fortune of connecting with Devon Moon and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Devon, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking.
I think taking risks is a key role in one’s success and even failures, but it’s necessary whether that brings growth or sets you back. Sometimes the risk isn’t even necessarily taking the chance, but not taking the chance & putting forth action. I quit my 9 to 5 during covid in 2021 to become a contractor not knowing or having a clue how much money I was gonna make or if bills were going to get paid at all. I took that risk and from that day forward my perspective, my finances, my faith and even my relationships changed drastically. It was the best decision I ever made for me during that time. Every shift in my life that came happened because of a risk in some way.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I think what sets my business apart from others is God. None of this would’ve happened had I not listened to him. The only reason why I ever started this journey, this business in the first place was to witness his glory. To just simply witness the glory that he’s done and doing not only in my life but in others as well with their stories and memories all being put in one video or one picture. None of the challenges I faced were easy, but they were good. I walked in some bad storms with God, but I walked out of them with him. I learned how to be still in the storm and know. Know that if I walked in it, then that just means he’s put me in transition for the next season in life. There isn’t much that I want the world to know about us at this moment. Just witness the glory that God’s about to do.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
One person that really helped open my eyes and put me on game was Ms. Hope Allen. She was a client I was working with for her logistics company, HD Drayage and Containers Services. She gave me the opportunity and experience to see what goes on behind closed within her own business and field of work. It showed me how much I needed to learn and how far I had to go to get in a position like herself. She educated me so much by just being able to watch up close that it began making me redevelop my ideas and goals as a business owner. The work space we developed began to feel like she was more of family rather than just someone I’m doing work with. She talked to me and educated me where it felt more like she was my auntie.
