We had the good fortune of connecting with Desiree Nichols and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Desiree, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
“To whom much is given much will be required” (Luke 12:48) This quote resonates so much with me through the lens of my childhood, as my father consistently relayed this ideal into all of our teachings. Throughout the years, and with acquired wisdom it has grown with me. More so now then as I child, I can relate wholeheartedly with this message. I strive to utilize the talents I was blessed with to spread positivity and benefit others. I understand that we are responsible for our decisions, and constantly try to be and do better on a daily. This quote is the “why” behind Events by Amiya Elise. It’s “why” I strive to complete each order with love and compassion. As much is required by me by you all I understand my responsibility in sharing my talents to make each experience worthwhile.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Events by Amiya Elise specializes in creating lasting memories for all types of events and celebrations. We have expanded our purpose to now include creating customized face masks, t-shirts, gift bags, and all other party accessories. I bring to fruition events purely tailored to your vision, with cohesive detail and design. I approach each event, and customized creation with love and creativity. Events by Amiya Elise has been through some changes, and as times have changed my business has grown. We have learned that even through a storm it is possible to reinvent, and reevaluate for maximizing growth and success. I take pride in being able to customize and tailor specified event design by the desires of the client, and only the client. I’ve learned that even if things may not be the most ideal to continue to strive for your full potential and greatness. Even if a whole crowd isn’t watching, the one that is drives the highest importance. I‘ve learned to lead and learn with patience, and to seek opportunities as often as you can. I want the world to know that success is not measured by what others believe is right, or by what social media deems. It is derived from the personal experiences, and life lessons that allow you to look back and be proud. A year ago Events by Amiya Elise is not what it is today, and I am grateful. I’m so grateful for growth, and a brand I know for time and time with hard work, and sacrifice I will continually stand behind.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I know my friends are big foodies like me! So we would start off at the Marietta Diner, the food is amazing and the portions are huge! Then we would make our way to a park, or take time sightseeing the attractions downtown. I love the Georgia Aquarium, SkyView, and the Beltline. After that we would take our turn at the Ponce City Market, and grab some eats at one of the local shops. To end the evening, we would settle in at Top Golf.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
As always we want to say thank you to HIM, I have been blessed with these talents through faith and grace. I want to thank my family, friends, and all those who have supported me now and then. A special shoutout goes to my husband, and my baby girl Zoe Elise. They are the reason I strive each day to leave a lasting legacy through Events by Amiya Elise. I am so blessed, and i want to thank YOU. Thank each and every person near and far, and even those i haven’t reached yet. Everyone deserves some positivity, and a small “thank you” goes a long way!
