We had the good fortune of connecting with Deshawn & Asia Littleton and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Deshawn & Asia, what role has risk played in your life or career?
We feel as though risk taking plays a huge part in our career because whether it’s us presenting our business to a celebrity, passing out business cards to people in a public settings or putting our cuisine on social media before millions of opinions we think if you don’t take risks you won’t gain the best results. Taking risks has become one of the best parts of being entrepreneurs. One of our biggest risks was moving down here from Michigan by ourselves with no family or friends here and building our clientele from the ground up. We now have an amazing clientele and it was definitely worth the risk.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
We are both private chefs and we work alongside each other as not only chefs but husband and wife. The most exciting thing about what we do is sharing the thing we love most with our new home Atlanta. I wouldn’t say what we do is easy because it’s levels to the food we make but it’s always rewarding. We want the world to know that this is something we are intensely passionate about and that we plan to feed the world one plate at a time!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Some of our favorite places to be in Atlanta are Piedmont park (where we got married), centennial park, the aquarium, and the cocoa cola factory. We would take them on Peters street where some of our favorite celebrities and reality tv stars own businesses. We would take them to the Mercedes Benz stadium. We would eat at places like harolds ice bar, fin and feathers, oceanaire and ghost bar.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
We definitely want to give a huge shoutout to our children for motivating us everyday to show them that no matter what you do you can excel at it. We want to give a shout-out our families and our supporters the Lit Gang for always showing us love, support and encouragement they are the best!
