Meet Denise Lockhart | Real Estate Firm Owner, Broker, Investor/ Property Management Consultant

We had the good fortune of connecting with Denise Lockhart and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Denise, what are you inspired by?
I am inspired by simply being an inspiration to others. I recall when I first started in Property Management 20 plus years ago and was promoted as a Regional, it was so rewarding to watch my Property Managers flourish and grow in the industry. Even now to inspire my children, my friends, and colleagues to go after what it is you want in life…..truly makes any success I obtain worth it!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Envision Realty Group LLC. is the name of my Real Estate Firm that I have lost sleep over from studying, juggling family & careers, countless expenses, and is the product of my sweat equity and determination. I am very proud of my roles in the Real Estate industry over the last 26 years, but establishing a Real Estate firm is my biggest, outside of my children.

I have overcome many challenges throughout my career. Instead of pointing out those challenges, it is important that I talk about how to overcome.

To overcome any challenge I’ve learned my spirituality, my confidence in who I am, and patience is what has always carried me through and can do the same for you!

What sets my firm and my brand apart from others is simple….me! My knowledge, my failures, my wins, my experience, authenticity, and my stellar service. There are some misses in the industry, and I’d like to turn those misses into opportunities for upcoming Realtors and create a winning team and an exlimpary business model.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well…..let’s just say I work alot and spend most of my personal time with my family, and don’t get to have alot of outings.

However, I’d have to say my favorite spots in Charlotte, NC is Farenheit for a great view and food, perhaps afterwards going to a Top Golf location, and then just playing it by ear.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have so many to shoutout for their support, encouragement, and efforts throughout my career. There are 4 people that come to mind immediately. First, my parents….My Mom was a business owner and growing up I would listen to her telephone conversations, watch her doing reports, marketing, etc. I’ve always observed and admired my Dad’s work ethic. He would work everyday in rain, sleet, or snow…sick or well. I remember when I was about 10 years old I saw a lot of foot traffic on our street, and I wanted to sell chips and candy. I told my parents, and they helped me buy the inventory I needed, and showed me how to market.

The next few people that really encouraged me through my career. While attending the greatest school for me, Winston Salem State University, for my BS in Finance, I was introduced to now Pastor Keith & Faith Tuttle. They allowed me to complete an internship at Empire Realty. This is where I realized I loved Real Estate. They also gave great advice to live by. Bryan Chaney gave me my first opportunity in Property Management. There were times I questioned if this was the field for me, he encouraged and gave sound advise that would sustain me throughout my career.

My cousin/sis Ciara Horton who allows me to be my unedited version and encourages my growth. My best friends and my family are also my biggest fans and has always been there for me. Also, my fiancé, Justin Craig has helped me care for our family, supported me when I have my outlandish dreams, and encouraged me in my unyielding goals I’ve set out to achieve.
