We had the good fortune of connecting with Denise Carson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Denise, can you tell us about a book that has had a meaningful impact on you?
Well actually I read this book called The Course of Miracles. Which led me to tell my own story in my book. Stranded Between Doubt and Faith. This book help boost the transformation that I needed to happen for me mentally. I need a shift in perspective and this book did just that. It broke down the powers of the negative mind to enhance positive thinking.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Well, being in this industry for over a decade I found myself in the same rooms. Rooms where people would be rude to prove there position and power versus showing respect. At a very early stage in my career I felt as if something was different in me. I wanted to create peace in the midst of the chaos. I wanted to be able to show leadership. So what did I do, I became what I had an issue with. As I started to become I felt myself growing into another stage. I am now speaking to my fellow colleagues about this new profound joy of coming to work with peace. Now they are interested in why I’m so numb to situations. As I began to grow I use my power and wrote my experience in a book. Stranded Between Doubt and Faith is a book of life questions that I had to ask myself in order to move forth. Move forth in life before I moved forth in this industry. What was it about me that wasn’t happy when on the outside looking in I should be in heaven. Well I went on a road of true happiness. Now I am telling my story to others about building happiness on the inside out.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was in town I would take them to Victory Falls Creek Park. This park has a major waterfall connected to it and it brings such peace. If a friend comes and visit me I would introduce them to the feeling of peace.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to shout out Tracy Martin for her new album Lifetime of Love. She is a musician and has been believing in herself for years that her passion will soon be a living. Now that she is living it I have to applaud her as the most humble person I know.
