Meet Del Ro | Entrepreneur & Host

We had the good fortune of connecting with Del Ro and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Del, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor that has influenced my success and the success of my brand is the consistent work ethic. I am a true workaholic! I truly enjoy what I do and oftentimes, it does not feel like work. It is natural for me to work late nights on a weekend; I find peace in doing so. Many people do not understand the groundwork that goes into the successes of my business as well as my brand.
Consistency is so key and involves not being easily discouraged. In entertainment you must have resolve, grit and mental toughness to be successful and last. I have been able to maintain a consistency over time that has allowed me to gradually elevate the level of my work and overall success of my brand.
What should our readers know about your business?
Double A Management is an event management and creative consultation company. Our team handle event creation, coordination, creative sponsorships, partnerships, talent booking, event management and creative concept development. I am most proud of the work that we’ve done assisting multicultural organizations at various universities and colleges. We have helped various organizations grow and obtain larger annual events. I reached my current level of work in my industry by being diligent and blocking out what people said isn’t going to work. It has been far from easy but the journey has been well worth it. Constantly overcoming challenges and building something worthwhile with a team is gratifying; adding value to others and entities is an excellent feeling.
I have learned many lessons along the way, one of the main lessons is the power of trusting your gut. It is truly a feeling that you shouldn’t ignore as it pertains to operating your business. I have also learned the significance in setting frames and avoiding time wasters. To achieve and elevate yourself and your business, you must avoid as many pitfalls as possible while continuously taking risks. One way to avoid pitfalls is to steer clear of individuals and entities that seem to be time wasters; being an entrepreneur means that you don’t have typical work hours, your time is extremely valuable to you.
What sets me apart from others is the ground work that I put in and my willingness to pivot to gain success for our clients and partners. I am a true workaholic! I truly enjoy what I do and oftentimes, it does not feel like work. It is natural for me to work late nights on a weekend; I find peace in doing so.
I want the World to know that I’ve done things the right way and successes did not come overnight. My brand is still building, there are things that we are just beginning to build out and create, we are excited.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
First I would advise that they arrive on Thursday morning or afternoon. We would begin by heading to The Gathering Spot to attend an event or happy hour, second we would head to Pasha ATL for dinner and following head over to The James Room.
Friday morning we would head to Stone Mountain to get a nature centric workout in. After working up an appetite, head over to Thumbs Up for breakfast. As the day proceeds, we would gear up for a couple of happy hours, first Gypsy Kitchen and secondly Bar Margot. Friday night would consist of heading to the Ponce City Market rooftop and stopping by bars throughout the beltline.
Saturday would be an active day, we would start the day out at Breakfast at Barney’s then head over to Krog street market and hit some spots along the beltline. Following, we would head up to Sandy Springs to have lunch at Chef Rob’s. Afterwards we would head to Buckhead and stop by a couple spots before grabbing drinks at Iberian Pig. At night we would hit a few places including CODE at Traffic.
Sunday would be all about the brunch vibes, we would head to Bar Vegan or Tupelo Honey. The day would be filled with stops at Piedmont park, shops at Buckhead and Little Five Points.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Matt Harper – founder of Esquire Branding.
Archie Clay III – co-founder of WearBrims.
Quasar Alexander – Regional market manager Riboli Family Wines
