Hi Dejalyn, how do you think about risk?
Risk taking is a necessity when dealing with the arts ! There has been so many times I’ve doubted myself ,my next moves in life , & my art. You have to be able to go out on a limb for yourself , explore & expand. I honestly feel like risk taking is about stepping outside your box, but remaining in a solid structure ! This technique, I feel, will always keep me versatile and universal.. timeless

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am the paper, so fragile Being soaked up by the ink Yet I’m the ink running through my veins, Sending words through my teeth I breathe in the emotion Exhale with the signature of relief What makes my art real Is that, my art becomes me. -Dejalyn Armour I make music , I make poetry for the love of it! The love of understanding & being able to relate to depths of life in such a beautiful way. I can say this journey of artistry has never gone exactly as planned, but that has never stopped the goal & the growth of it ! I really just want to be iconic. I want my words to be legendary , so relatable yet so complex. I will be timeless!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m a very nature , chill setting , out to eat kind of woman ! So definitely we’d be at restaurants the whole week , exploring some good eats , couple mixed drinks ! I’d love to have a picnic as well. Nice little finger foods and stories , a little yoga. We’d also probably have alot of photoshoots (randomly). Def freestyle sessions ! & Random dancing all week long. Probably end off the week with movies and catching up in PJs lol
