Hi DeiJon, what’s something about your industry that outsiders are probably unaware of?
One thing about the marketing industry that outsiders may overlook is its dynamic nature. Marketing constantly evolves with changing consumer behaviors and technological advancements, requiring marketers to adapt quickly.

Marketing can be challenging due to the need for constant innovation and agility. Standing out in a crowded marketplace, understanding diverse audiences, and effectively measuring success are ongoing hurdles. Success often requires creativity, adaptability, and staying ahead of trends to drive meaningful results.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My agency, Marquis Media, is built on the foundation of passion, innovation, and a commitment to excellence. What sets me apart from others is my relentless pursuit of creativity, integrity, and personalized service. I take pride in delivering organic results that exceed expectations and leave a lasting impression on my clients. I’ve gotten to where I am today by creating positive relationships and networking with the right people.

One of the things I’m most proud of is the journey of growth and evolution my business has undergone. It hasn’t always been easy, but every challenge has been an opportunity for learning and refinement. I’ve failed forward so many times and it’s those failures that make me a better business owner. Through perseverance, adaptability, and a willingness to embrace change, I’ve overcome obstacles and have become stronger than ever.

Some of the key lessons I’ve learned along the way include the importance of resilience, the power of collaboration, and the value of staying true to my vision. Every setback has been a stepping stone to greater success, and every success has been a testament to the dedication and hard work invested in my business.

What I want the world to know about my brand is that it’s more than just a business – it’s a reflection of my values, my passion, and my commitment to being a resource. I strive to inspire others through my work, to create meaningful connections, and to make a lasting impact on the world. My story is just getting started and although I’ve been putting in the work – there’s still a lot of work to do.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting Atlanta for a week, I’d make sure they experience the best the city has to offer!

Day 1: Breakfast at The Flying Biscuit Cafe, then visit the Atlanta Botanical Garden. Lunch at Ponce City Market, stroll the BeltLine, and catch a show at the Fox Theatre.

Day 2: Brunch at Sun in My Belly, explore the Georgia Aquarium, and enjoy BBQ at Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q followed by live music at Eddie’s Attic.

Day 3: Brunch at Buttermilk Kitchen, explore Inman Park and Little Five Points, and dine at The Optimist.

Day 4: Brunch at Atlanta Breakfast Club, visit the High Museum of Art or Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site, and dine at Bacchanalia.

Day 5: Brunch at Le Petit Marche, visit the Atlanta History Center, and picnic at Piedmont Park.

Day 6: Brunch at The General Muir, spend the day at Stone Mountain Park, and dinner at Mary Mac’s Tea Room.

Day 7: Brunch at Ria’s Bluebird, visit the Atlanta Zoo, and dinner at Canoe along the Chattahoochee River.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
To the divine guidance of God and the unwavering support of my parents, I owe an immeasurable debt of gratitude. My parents, through their tough love, sacrifices, and wisdom, have been my pillars of strength and inspiration. They’ve molded me with their values, shaped my character with their teachings, and stood by me through every triumph and trial.

Having faith in God has been a driving force in my life. Trusting in His plan has given me the courage to pursue my dreams, even when the path seemed uncertain. It’s during the most challenging moments that my faith has provided me with hope, resilience, and a sense of purpose. With God’s grace and blessings, I’ve found the strength to overcome obstacles and the humility to appreciate life’s blessings.
