We had the good fortune of connecting with Deanna Knieriem and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Deanna, how does your business help the community?
One of the reasons I was attracted to a career real estate was the connection and impact my business can have in the local community. There’s an incredible joy in helping others find their first home, their forever homes or even their first investment property. By supporting & getting to know the local communities, I’m able to expose & match my clients to areas they may not have considered or know about.

Beyond that direct impact, I dedicate time to raising money for local charities by hosting community events. One of my favorite events from last year was a Yappy Hour for my neighborhood dog park to raise money for Perfect Pets Rescue. Not only did we raise money for the rescue, it was the first opportunity for many of our neighbors to come together for the first time since Covid hit.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
After spending over 10 years professionally in hospitality leadership, I decided to start a career in real estate. I had always been attracted to the industry and after purchasing my first property, I was hooked. Everything about the industry excites me: the properties themselves (design, potential, location); working with people (making dreams come true); the strategy & negotiation (everybody wins). It can be quite thrilling work and I love every minute.

I knew there was a lot I could bring to the real estate experience from my many years in restaurants & hotels, especially for sellers & first time home buyers. I thrive on communication, organization & developed processes. In a journey that can be overwhelming & frustrating, my intentions are to offer “Easy Buttons” for my clients. These are life-impacting personal & financial commitments. I ensure my clients have all the information to make the best decisions for their futures.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I actually started a YouTube Channel in 2021 called North Atlanta Living (#shamelessplug) that you should definitely check out for various area information and activities. One of my favorite aspects of living here is the blend of nature & greenspace throughout the city. Time spent outdoors in Atlanta is key to falling in love with living here. My favorite activity in the summer with friends is shootin’ the hooch’ (tubing the Chattahoochee river). No matter where you live in Atlanta, there’s a community park, tennis center or nearby hiking/biking trails to explore.

My must-do activities: Piedmont Park (festivals, walk/bike around, killer city views, Botanical Gardens, public pool, great dog park & more). Hop onto the Beltline & head over to Ponce City Market for a lively food hall & shopping experience plus an entire roof dedicated to carnival games & mini golf. Continue on the beltline (walk/bike/scoot) over to Inman Park & stop at Victory Sandwich for their frozen jack & coke or one of the breweries along the way.

For a fancy, fun & trendy evening out, we’re going to Buckhead. My favorite spots to indulge include the Garden Room for a stunning atmosphere & amazing cocktails, St Julep rooftop at the Sylvan Hotel for boozy slushies & city views, and Atlas fine-dining for the best tasting menu in the city.

I can go on & on about what to do, eat & drink and I do quite a bit actually.
