We had the good fortune of connecting with Deangelo Amos and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Deangelo, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
I’m from Miami,Fl south west, I go by the name KAIJU The Unconquerable or Kaiju Can’t Die for short. Well my upbringing did influence my journey in music and creativity today. Especially my uncles being heavy into martial arts movies, WU tang clan, Japanese animation in the mid 90s really place me on the path creativity at a young age. Truly helped me visually and musically how to come act things in my artistry staying true to who I am and giving that grown awareness of who I am.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Originality is Key to who Kaiju is, staying true to self and never imitating the flow of microwave content. I feel me dabbling into music mixing it with anime bars (I’m one of the first to do that) working with Shonen Jump performing at conventions in the beginning was a wake up call in 2010 to 2013. It said I can make moves being myself but slowly I drifted from that because of the stigma of “Geek or Otaku” was not my only lane even tho I paved it for those who now who rap or make music about that. I ventured off into music challenging my self sonically what can I do differently not having the backing I drifted into bringing my words into reality visually so 2016 I finally said let me direct my own video hints KAIJUCANTDIE series as born. I worked with few videographers I bump heads with until meeting Dreamloud which I took her on a creative journey of trial and error to push limits of story telling. I begin to make props, fight choreography, script writing directing, sound design, casting ,editing and graphic design. I literally became a man of many hats then I change my sound into a more impactful style but yet I found that doors were shut by those who control the access to stardom platforms had governance not base of talent but agenda and pay which still made me push to clash against the odds. Yet still I stand here in Miami pushing to do thee impossible having a single No sunlight on radio thriving to still make a career out of all I have done from 2006 to now most would of quit but I had persevere to still do it I even made a Episode 15 called Tech Wear being one of the first black artist or musicians to step in with interactive music visual short films which hasn’t gotten any coverage just left as if I didn’t do anything we talking all edited by me from top to bottom. We reap what we sow I just hope that the God I serve shows me what I put in wasn’t for not. – Kai
