We had the good fortune of connecting with Deandra Holland and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Deandra, maybe we can start at the very start – the idea – how did you come up with the idea for your business?
When I first thought about my business it was during the pandemic a year ago. We had just gone into lockdown and I started watching a ton of makeup videos because that’s one of my favourite pass times. I was thinking to myself, everyone always knows one thing about me is I love me so eyelashes and some lip gloss. And so I just decided I was gonna learn to start my own business. Shortly after I started selling lashes and a few months later started making my own lip glosses, lip balms etc.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My brand is exactly how I am as a person. It’s very boss girl energy and makes you just feel pretty. I make sure every product has the cutest packaging since that’s the first thing that makes you wanna buy something and every formula has been tested and perfected by me. Having the support of my customers was like anything else in the beginning, a little difficult. But sure enough I had a few friends that’s trust anything I give them and sure enough word of mouth made it so much easier for others to purchase. If there’s one thing I learned it’s that you can’t rush greatness. Everything will come in time. One thing about Dream Beauty. Inc is you will see more of us and I hope we’ll become as big as my dreams think it will.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I definitely want to shoutout my boyfriend Daniel and my best friend Malika. They have sat down on countless night’s listening to all my ideas, helped finalize every sample and design, they are both truly my rocks and biggest support!
