We had the good fortune of connecting with Dawn Battle and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dawn, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
My favorite quote is Exodus 3: 14 KJV “and God said to Moses, I AM that I AM : and he said, thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM have sent me unto you. Which my favorite affirmations starts with I am.. my favorite affirmation is, I am enough. What I like about it is if God made us in his image and likeness that means we contain the same greatness as him. Which means that everything we have he already put it within us, so we are enough.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What I’m most proud of is completing part of my story in my book The Battle Before Dawn. I wear multiple hats professionally I’m a life coach, Author, Behavior Tech, and Podcaster just to list a few. No it wasn’t easy but through hard work and determination I got it done. The lessons I learned along the way were time management, trusting God process, and staying focused was the key to my success.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
One of the places I recently visited with my Zeta sisters was Katch Kitchen and the food was delicious. The restaurant atmosphere was a whole vibe. The chef even came out to check on us the waiter was polite and accommodating.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My shoutout goes to my family, my Pastor, church family, my best friend and my sisters of Zeta Alpha Psi Sisterhood International. To my family thank you for always being there for me. It’s a blessing to have a church family and Pastor that keeps me in prayer. For my best friend for being my safe space and always having my back. To my Zeta Sisters for being my accountability partners because we are our sister’s keeper.
