We had the good fortune of connecting with Dawn Aneada and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dawn, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Starting my own business was really just me listening to what God said! I have always been mulithyphenate with acting being my main focus, however, I can not deny the many gifts I was given. I initially planned to launch my own production company by the start of 2021, but I woke up one morning during the pandemic and God said “NOW”! Do it Now! So I did it and unbeknownst to me within the next 3 months Bossin Up Productions would be I pre-production for four different projects. 

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am an Action Actress! This means I love and thrive in action dramas. I not only love the genre, but I like to truly be in the mix so I started training to do my own stunts. I can’t just let actors like Tom Cruise, Zoe Saldana, & Jason Statham have all the fun LOL! Here I am 5 years later now able to do hand to hand combat, nun chucks, staff, muythai, and women’s professional wrestling. Yea, I fight for living, but not just in there ironic sense. I fight on and off of screen for my dreams and I’m gunning for the Marvel Universe!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m such a foodie! My first go-to spot is Mama Shelter Rooftop for Boujee Fries and Rose Sangria. It is literally delicious and a beautiful view of LA and the Hollywood sign. My next spot if Frida Mexicana for Margaritas and Nachos! Last, once all the eating is done, I definitely enjoy Hollywood for some nightlife Karaoke preferably at Station 1640.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My family hands down deserves more than a little credit! They have supported me from such a young age making it even more possible for me to reach for the stars. From encouraging me to helping pay for new headshots, they are always there ready to offer whatever they can to support me.
