Meet David Sevilla | Photographer | Videographer | Drone Pilot

We had the good fortune of connecting with David Sevilla and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi David, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I wanted to combine my creative skills with my corporate ones to form something I could be passionate about. I hope to one day support myself and my family and “never work a day in life” doing something I am passionate about.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I graduated from Georgia Tech with an Electrical Engineering degree in 2011 and joined a large company in automation and energy. There, I quickly learned about various industries, technologies, and business disciplines on a large scale. I took the knowledge and skills I had gained and joined a company where I led an operations team, learning the interworkings of the entire business.
I am proud of how much exposure and knowledge I’ve been able to obtain in a relatively short career. I have learned that information is everywhere if you are willing to go out and take it and that building diverse relationships is a necessity to grow a business and career.
I’d like people to know that I am passionate about creating, solving problems, and helping others acheive their goals.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
For a week long trip, I would build the itinerary around the best places to eat. I would give them all the options and make stops at Fred’s Meat and Bread at Krog Street for their incredible Philly Cheesesteak. While there, we’d walk along the beltline and stop to have a beer at New Realm Brewing before making our way to the Biltong Bar at Ponce City Market.
I’d definitely spend a day hopping around the breweries on West Midtown, grab food at the Chattahoochee Works and a round of Top Golf.
If they’re in town, I would take my friend to an Atlanta United game and get drinks at the Glenn Hotel rooftop bar.
We would spend a day doing the tourist attractions including the Aquarium, World of Coke, National Center for Civil and Human Rights, and the College Football Hall of Fame.
For a final day, I’d bring our dogs out on tubes and shoot the Hooch or relax over some beers at Fetch Dog Park
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I owe my opportunities in life to my loving parents who immigrated from the Philippines. Their hard work and guidance provided me with life’s necessities and a good education allowing me to reach high and prosper. I would not be where I am today without them.
