We had the good fortune of connecting with David Gacsko and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi David, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
As it has been said, there is risk in everything that you do. For me, I cannot say that I let it restrict me in but it is always evaluated at some level, albeit in some instances, quickly. The best thing about life is that there are always options to mitigate or minimize it in some ways.

I have never been a gambler in the traditional casino aspect, but do understand why people play and go for the gold. Personally, I like to go for the win. In business many times there is significant risk involved but in my case, I have to continue to go for it. I will be honest, I have not won every time, however, I have learned a lot each time.

Looking back, I have been a risk-taker most of my life—I am sure my family can attest to that for sure! Not so much in a sporting sense, more like calculated determination to make things happen. Again, risk is just a factor that you can evaluate and overcome with scenarios that can be longer or shorter to accomplish nearly the same dream/opportunity.

What should our readers know about your business?
My firm Hierarchy, Inc., has to be one of the proudest moments, especially in our 6th year!

We also strive to partner with other diverse suppliers to extend the spend across categories and evolve the incredible network that is out there and growing.

Hierarchy has made it this far with pure dedication to producing the best work for our clients! Even with the pandemic, which was no treat for us or anyone, our work and commitment pulled us through, thankfully. Our team takes each client relationship personally and delivers to the highest level possible to make our clients look fantastic as well. We focus on building lasting relationships! The road this past six years has been bumpy—I can say that I have a unique and hand-picked team that goes the extra mile daily. They also inspire me!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Neighborhoods, neighborhoods, neighborhoods are everything to me. In Atlanta, yes, and everywhere I have traveled. I have been in the ATL for almost 20 years, and it inspires me every day to see this city grow! Coming from a much larger city, Atlanta was just what was needed at the time, and I have loved growing with it. Every adventure out of the house now reveals a head-turn to, “OMG, what is that” have to check it out moment. This list is so long, and I am not going to call out favs are there are so many on the list, and I am not going to play favorites. Get out there and explore… step of what is your normal and open them eyes!

We are lucky to be living in a growing city that is making a positive name for itself. I never thought it would be this way. Bring it on!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.”

I live by this statement every day of my life. Not all day, but I find those moments that I give all the positive energy I have each day. Sometimes that identified instance is all you need to set the rest of the day into a motion that can change everything in the future! The future is where it is at. Yes, with enthusiasm infused, you may see a result in the exact moment or day; however, I like to reap the reward in the future when I am least expecting it. I think of it as my perpetual motion! It is incredible to look pack and see how it happened.

It is also so energizing to help others experience the same effect even when they don’t know it, and you do. I love setting my team up for those moments of success, especially during the challenging moments in this space of marketing.

Life is an experience…. go for it with enthusiasm!
