We had the good fortune of connecting with Darnell Lindsey and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Darnell, how has your background shaped the person you are today?

I’m from the westside of chicago born and rise.i grow up in the north lawndale area . When i first started doing comedy a lot of people didn’t believe me. But i kept going and the most important thing kept being consistent and got better as a comedian as i kept putting out videos. I started to go harder ones i started to making money off videos. So i improved in my comedy so people can relate to it. Also people love relationships me and my wife site a good example for black love and black comedy we are relatable to other people relationships so they support what we do.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?

My comedy is a Chicago style type of comedy i’m related to Bernie Mac and I’m naturally funny with good energy. What make me different is my energy and my jokes is priceless. I got here because i was consist and kept going hard and now I’m on my way to the top. It wasn’t easy i work hard to get where i am today. I lose like 4 jobs because i wanted to videos while i was working. But i knew one day i will get here. I overcame a lot of stages being broke , stop believe myself and was gone give up but i kept my head up. I learned that you can go viral for anything these days but its more about being consistent and keep going viral to be on top. I want the world to know I’m taking over the comedian game I will be the next Kevin Hart.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
IF YOU VISITING MY HOME TOWN CHICAGO. I ALWAYS RECOMMEND PEOPLE TO TRY A INTIAN BEEF ITS A CHICAGO BEST AND ITS TASTE THE BEST. WHEN I’M IN THE CITY I LOVE TO PARTY DOWNTOWN CHICAGO RIVER NORTH IT BE LIT. AND YOU WANT TO SEE A GOOD VIEW CHECK OUT LAKE SHORE DRIVE.

I Have to shoutout my wife ZAVIA she always supported me even when I lost everything to chase comedy she stayed by my side and supported me all the way. SHOUTOUT TO ZAVIA ❤️
