Meet Darling Ngoh | Founder of VVG & H.O.G

We had the good fortune of connecting with Darling Ngoh and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Darling, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
As an art lover myself, I’ve always been fascinated by the potential of technology to expand the reach of art and connect artists with a wider audience. Virtual Vista Gallery was born from this very passion. The traditional art world can be quite limited geographically and financially. I saw an opportunity to create a platform that would break down these barriers. Virtual Vista Gallery allows artists from all over the states to showcase their work, while also providing global art enthusiasts with a boundless virtual space to discover new artists, explore different styles, and engage with the creative community – all for free. I remember thinking to myself, wouldn’t this merger of tech and art be interesting, It’s like having an ever-expanding art museum at your fingertips!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My professional journey might seem a little unconventional. By day, I work as a Business Development Manager for a chiropractic clinic specializing in PI and wellness. It’s a rewarding role where I get to see the positive impact healthcare can have on people’s lives. However, my creative side has always craved an outlet.
That’s where Virtual Vista Gallery comes in. As a full-time Data Science major, I leverage my skills in system building and design to constantly improve the platform. It wasn’t easy juggling a demanding job, studies, and launching a business – but my passion for art and the potential of VVG fueled my determination. There were late nights, moments of self-doubt, and challenges in time management, but seeing the platform grow and empower artists kept me going.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is the importance of balance. While I’m driven and ambitious, I’ve had to prioritize self-care to avoid burnout. Another key takeaway is the power of community. The support from fellow artists, friends, and even unexpected sources like the Atlanta art scene has been encouraging.
What I want the world to know about Virtual Vista Gallery is that it’s more than just an online art platform. It’s a space that fosters connections, breaks down barriers, and celebrates the boundless creativity of artists around the globe. It’s a testament to the fact that with passion, dedication, and a little ingenuity, you can bridge seemingly dissimilar worlds – like healthcare and art – to create something truly special.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would probably take them to visit several art galleries in and around the Atlanta area. For example, the High Museum of Art.
Would also check out the Krog Street Market, a trendy food hall housed in a historic building, for lunch.
Of course with an outdoor Adventure at Stone Mountain Park
Would also visit Piedmont Park to relax and unwind given it’s Atlanta’s largest urban green space.
Visiting and exploring what the Beltline has to offer is always a fun time.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Absolutely! There are several people who deserve recognition in Virtual Vista Gallery’s story. Firstly, the incredible artists who have entrusted us with showcasing their work are the true foundation of our platform. Their talent and dedication inspire me every day.
Secondly, I want to shoutout the Atlanta art community. The energy, diversity, and collaborative spirit of Atlanta’s art scene have been a huge source of inspiration for Virtual Vista Gallery. We’re proud to provide a platform that complements and supports this vibrant community.
Finally, a huge shoutout goes out to my incredible team, friends, and family (Sakyra, Joemar, Joshua, Matt, Hayden, Joseph, Scott) who have supported me throughout this journey. Their unwavering belief and support in this project has been invaluable.
