We had the good fortune of connecting with Darius Cornelius and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Darius, what’s the end goal, career-wise?
The end goal for me is to be a private/personal chef & content creator. Along with my passion for cooking, I’ve always enjoyed being creative and different. Food is something that you can really get creative as you want and still create quality content and dishes. I feel as if I can pursue two things I love to do at once and that what really keeps me motivated and excited to continue on. By the end of my career, I want to have cooked for many different people, celebrities included. I want to be known as someone who provides not only quality food but someone who is a genuine and hardworking person.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m most excited about seeing what new endeavors and adventures will come along with being a chef. Food is something that’s worldwide and different in so many ways. It’s always something to learn and experience. So, I’m excited to see what new things I will come across going forward. I got to where I am today by having such an amazing support system. It wasn’t easy, I’m someone who takes pride in providing quality over quantity. Looking at other Chef’s content and seeing how creative they were and how they presented their content helped me learn and see how I had to go about posting videos. Even now, it’s still a constant learning process trying to better myself as a chef and content creator. The biggest thing for me, knowing I have family & friends who are going to be beside no matter what. The truly keeps me going and wants me to prove to them they weren’t wrong for believing in me.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
A sporting event is first on the list, whether it’s a Braves game or an Atlanta Hawks/Falcons game. One thing Atlanta knows how to do is have a party and have fun. So no matter how good the teams may be. You’ll always have an amazing time. The Battery is the perfect place to go for some good memory creating fun. It’s filled with lots of bars and restaurants and also good vibes. Lastly, The Beltline is a must, it’s a walking and biking trail which takes you around various parts of Atlanta. Which you can see so many different attractions and art created by so many different people. It’s a beautiful sight to see.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to thank my family & friends. I originally never wanted to start a catering business or even create food content. But my family and friends saw how much I enjoyed cooking and really pushed and motivated me to this point. So I want to give the biggest shoutout to them. Without them I wouldn’t be at this point. Im elated to see how far food can take me in life.
