We had the good fortune of connecting with DANYELLE CLARK and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi DANYELLE, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
Although I live in Atlanta, I was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. I truly believe that my upbringing and background have really impacted who I am. Has the road been easy? Not at all, but I strive to do my best in everything that I do each day. That was something that my parents always told me. I look at myself as my own competition. I challenge myself because, at the end of the day, I am the only one that is responsible for my happiness. I thank my parents as much as possible for all of the knowledge, advice, and love that they’ve given me even still in my adulthood. In my eyes, my mother was the perfect role model and my father was my hero. If it wasn’t for them, I really don’t know where I would be.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Well, I have just officially started my own Podcast called Real Talk with Danny Rey. I’m so glad that I did because it gives me an opportunity to share my thoughts and opinions on things that need to be talked about. And I’m talking about real life. I’m looking forward to the growth, the experience, and keeping others engaged. Will there be challenges? Absolutely! But it’s up to me to be able to push through. I’ve been getting some pretty good feedback so far so that lets me know that I’m on the track. What I want the world to know about me and my podcast is that I will always be 100% transparent with you. It can’t get any more real than that.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
First off, I must say that I love Atlanta. If my best friend was to visit me for a week, we would definitely check out The Slutty Vegan. I love to eat! LOL! We may have to take a road trip to Savannah for a day or two. We must go to River Street and hit the beach at Tybee Island. Being that I love to shop, we will be hitting the Tanger Outlets. I’m not really a club person, so we would check a few lounges, preferably a cigar bar. Either way, my best friend would be satisfied with their trip.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There is such a long list of individuals that I can give a shoutout to, but I’m so appreciative for all the love and support that I have received from family, friends, my church family, and my Pastor.
