We had the good fortune of connecting with Danielle Latrice and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Danielle, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
My favorite quote is, “Your story is the seed of someone else’s transformation.” I love this quote because it’s a reminder that it’s important to create a relationship with my past. After all, my life experiences are a part of my life’s purpose. And more importantly, there is no need to feel shame in those experiences because someone on earth will relate to me because of it, and they’re waiting to hear me own my story to inspire them to make strides in their life.

What should our readers know about your business?
She’s Pieced Together is a community for minority women where we inspire ambitious women of color in an emotionally vulnerable space to live peacefully with confidence and emotional freedom by prioritizing emotional healing, nurturing self-love, and reaching their tribe of sisters.

Building the ability to embrace your inner truths by healing emotional scars and nurturing self-love to live as the best version of yourself is the premise of the Choose Her Movement, the primary mission and focus of She’s Pieced Together. —It’s not just a mindset; it’s a journey!

We accomplish this with in-person experiences, coaching services, products, and online memberships that provide resources and support systems. My approach to building this community has always been to create a safe and welcoming environment for the opportunity to work on healing and self-discovery with transparency and acceptance.

The idea of She’s Pieced Together was birthed from my novel The Pieces of Us. In the book, three minority women navigate life’s ups and downs, with their shared friendship being the root of their survival. It reminded me of how important it is to have a sisterhood when navigating life, working through tough seasons, and celebrating the good times.

Personally, starting this community has been life changing. I’m an introvert at heart, and everything about She’s Pieced Together is not that. This process has allowed me to grow and further my journey to Choose Her –while sharing my story and my journey of healing and self-discovery with other women as accurately as it has been, without the need to appear perfect.

The biggest lesson I’ve learned from building She’s Pieced Together is always remembering your “Why.” Things will not always be easy but aligning your decisions and direction with why you started the business will make it easier to overcome obstacles.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Coach Jas of The Greater Me Consulting has been a great support system in my journey of stepping into purpose and launching. She’s Pieced Together. This journey hasn’t been the easiest. There were times that I struggled with self-doubt, hesitation, and imposter syndrome. Coach Jas’s kind and empowering spirit pushed me past those limiting beliefs and opened the door for me to see the significance of my gifts, connection, and life experiences.
