Meet Danielle Harris: Author & Executive Communications Coach

We had the good fortune of connecting with Danielle Harris and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Danielle, what principle do you value most?
Integrity is a value that positions you to be a respected leader and entrepreneur. Your word is all you have and people will never forget someone who treats them fairly. This is why I have been successful because I decided to maintain integrity even when others didn’t. It’s not always easy to stand alone, but the benefits outway the discomfort.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
D. Harris & Associates is an executive communications firm that specializes in media interview training, public speaking coaching, and speechwriting. We’ve had much success in positioning religious leaders and small business owners as experts with media outlets and investors, which has boosted their bottom lines.
Our proven coaching formula has helped countless pastors grow their influence beyond the church and into their community. Additionally, clients who were once fearful of public speaking have now become some of the most effective speakers in their area of expertise.
The road to starting this business wasn’t easy but it was necessary for me. As a minister, public relations expert, and journalist, I saw the need of helping pastors become more polished in secular spaces. I also understood the concerns of entrepreneurs who want more training in being concise speakers when discussing business deals with potential investors. This is my passion because these are barriers that I successfully overcame and I want to help others.
I want the world to know that everyone can be a dynamic speaker if they’re open to doing the work.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Sunday- We’re hanging out at church and then over to my parents’ house for Sunday dinner. Yum!
Monday- Let’s go kayaking on the Augusta Canal. Watch out for those alligators!
Tuesday- Relaxing at the Balanced Body Spa for a little self-care. Woosah!
Wednesday- We’re off to Old McDonalds Fish Camp for lunch and to feed the animals.
Thursday- Take a walk at the Evans Towne Center Park
Friday- We’re off to Atlanta for a little wig shopping and dinner at Houston’s.
Saturday- Brunch at Cracker Barrel before my friend hits the road.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I have to shout out the world-renown author and speaker Valorie Burton, and the lessons I learned as a student in her company’s Coaching and Positive Psychology (CaPP) Institute. In addition to the curriculum, Valorie’s books and one-on-one coaching sessions have sharpened my tools as a coach, speaker and entrepreneur.
