We had the good fortune of connecting with Damola Adeoti and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Damola, what matters most to you?
Values and principles matter to me the most. My definition for values and principles are things you can not see, feel or touch. Values are intangible, they are from within. Here are some of my list of values, respect, discipline, kindness, integrity, dignity etc. The list goes on. Principles are laws and they do not change. Principles from thousands of years ago are still the same principle of today. So I make sure I align my principles with God’s principles. God’s principle hasn’t changed since the beginning of time. Principles keep me stable, focused and aligned because the formula never changes.

What should our readers know about your business?
I want to be known as a steward for the business which is God’s business. I run a barbing studio called Quality Grooming Studio. I personally believe that it is one of the best barbershops in the world. It is that dope, from the atmosphere to the decor, music and most of all the grooming. The slogan at the barbershop says “Connect and uplift souls with the clippers” that is literally what I do. I pray with my clients all the time! I like how I use my clippers to connect with people. The conversations are priceless. I feel like cutting hair is one of my God given skills to serve this world. That is what sets me apart from others. I am excited about the future because my vision is enormous. I got to where I am today because I included God in my purpose, drive, vision and mindset. I surrounded myself with people that are like minded, preferably better than me. There were challenges but that is literally part of business, which makes me stronger. I know anything is attainable if God is involved. I overcame challenges because I always thought about the bigger picture and where I came from, that always keeps me going. I have learned a lot of lessons which is to keep going and never stop. Huge lesson is to always access yourself before making decisions. it is ok to get opinions but be sure to access yours first so that the opinions won’t be the main deciding factor. I want the world to know me for demonstrating the true essence of serving. I want the world to know my brand for demonstrating what it means to run an exceptional business. Most of all, I want to be known for living and operating my business to glorify the Kingdom of God.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Church!! Haha
I would say The Battery is my #1 spot. They have nice restaurants, bars and scenery. Painted pin is another dope spot to go, they have good drinks, games and food. Negril Village is another dope spot, best known for the food. They mainly serve Jamaican food and it is very delicious. Park Bar is nice too, it is in Atlanta. Nice spot for breakfast will be at Another broken egg, they have good selections.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Shoutout to God first and foremost. I would like to put a spotlight on my family for being there for me through it all, without them I couldn’t have been able to do it. I appreciate one of my mentors Mr Michael Thomas for guidance, he has been there for me through this whole business decision process. I can not forget about Mr Tim Bolton, the owner of the first barbershop I started from. He gave me a chance at life and I took off with it. Thanks to all my clients! I love you guys! Shoutout to Mike and the shoutout team for having me on this platform. I am humbled.
