We had the good fortune of connecting with DAMN Si and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi DAMN, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I love music festivals. I recently started Planning MOONSTAR FESTIVAL for my city “Atlanta” To bring the city back together and provide jobs within our community. My main goal was to give the best experience to everyone that will be in attendance and bring back good live music in the city with a taste of POP, HIP HOP, R&B. 2023 is our year, seeing more entertainment come back to our city will bring back the original Atlanta.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a DJ • PRODUCER/ Festival founder. Moonstar is a collective that’s not only a record label or brand. It’s a lifestyle for my city!! Positive change is what I started moonstar for, to bring people back together. The first challenge I had was everyone I told I was planning a music festival people looked at me crazy and said how would that work. I take that criticism and put more work in to show others anything is possible!!! What I learned during this journey is patience is everything, from every email or call back I just gotta be patient while chasing my goal.

I want everyone to know that MOONSTAR FESTIVAL will be the biggest music festival in Atlanta next year 2023

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Escobar Restaurant & Tapas The best restaurant in Atlanta hands down!! Owned by my favorite rapper since I was 8 years old “2 chainz” if u coming to our city and you want a vibe pull up to Escobar for that vibe & good food and drinks

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to shoutout my mom & family for showing me how to become a good business man, Shoutout to DJ waffles for giving me a chance to learn to become a better DJ and for showing me anything is possible.
