Hi Dakota, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?

Oh man, Fireborn started because I got tired of seeing the same old boring promo junk that nobody actually wants. You know, the pens that barely write, the stress balls collecting dust in a drawer? Yeah, I wanted to do better than that. Fireborn comes from a life-long journey of self-discovery and reinvention. I’m Dakota Driskill, your friendly neighborhood promo superhero swagologist. Yep, I specialize in swag. I am a tastemaker and an idea generator armed with creativity, a knack for brand storytelling, and just a sprinkle of goofy to keep things interesting. Fireborn Promotions was born out of frustration with boring, forgettable swag. I strive to create branded experiences. With Fireborn, I wanted to flip the script and create promotional products that actually excite people, things they love, use, and remember.

I’ve always been passionate about storytelling and helping brands connect with their audience in a way that feels real.Whether it’s a nonprofit making a difference, a startup trying to break through the noise, or a big corporation looking to refresh its image, I knew there was a way to turn “just another promo item” into something meaningful. And that’s what we do, help brands stand out with products that actually matter.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.

At Fireborn, we’re all about creating branded products that don’t just sit on desks, they make an impact. We work with businesses, nonprofits, and organizations to design high-quality, purposeful promo that sparks conversations and strengthens brands. Whether it’s eco-friendly swag, high-tech gadgets, or cozy lifestyle kits, we bring ideas to life in ways that feel fresh and exciting. But above all, we dig deep to create promotional strategies that bring out the YOU in your brand.

But promo is just part of the story. Fireborn is also deeply involved in the nonprofit world, partnering with organizations like End Overdose Atlanta, Voices for Georgia’s Children, and VOX ATL. We believe that the right branded products can do more than just market a business; they can inspire, unite, and even help save lives as educational tools. Whether it’s rallying a cause, making a corporate culture more engaging, or turning a trade show into a true experience, we’re here to make it happen.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

If a friend were visiting Atlanta, we’d kick things off right with a visit to Castleberry Hill, where Fireborn Promotions is based. It’s Atlanta’s historic arts district, packed with stunning murals, galleries, and some of the city’s best hidden gems.

For food (my fav), we’d start the mornings with coffee from Omni Coffee & Eggs, then grab lunch at Slutty Vegan because, well, Atlanta. Dinner? We’re hitting Staplehouse for an unforgettable meal, or maybe we’ll roll up to The Optimist for seafood perfection. Yea, so I really love food. I really love soccer, too! The heart! The passion! No visit to ATL is complete without catching the excitement of an Atlanta United or Falcons game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Come on down, ya’ll! Hit me up for a good ol’ time in the neighborhood!

I’ve gotta give a huge shoutout to our very own captain, Phoenix Calandrella, our Chief Operations Officer and the steady hand guiding Fireborn’s rise. With 20 years of experience in building businesses and consulting Fortune 100s, he’s the one making sure our operation runs like a dream.

Fireborn is all about collaboration, and we wouldn’t be where we are without the support of our amazing clients, creative partners, and the Atlanta business community. This city is built on hustle, resilience, and reinvention, just like us.
