We had the good fortune of connecting with Daequan Rose and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Daequan, what do you attribute your success to?
The most successful factors of the brand are coming up with new ways to keep sneakers clean with flashy new techniques to keep people entertained throughout the world. It’s an art, and it’s a great market/culture to be part of.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I feel like sneaker restorations and repairs are a style of art in a way. You take a destroyed shoe, and you turn it back into a brand new or be able to wear them again; that’s the main surprise factor while doing the job, the before and after with the WOW factor from the customer. I’m always excited to invent a new way to clean or repair and post it on social media to show what’s really going on behind the scenes, along with creating your merchandise with your brand name on it. I got to the point where I am by staying consistent and learning new skill sets to use daily with being myself in every step of the process. MOST DEFINITELY WASN’T EASY! I had to plan and visualize where I wanted to be and to create for myself and other people that needed it as well in the sneaker culture. Long talks with the most high and the teachers he introduced me to in life kept me safe and never at a dead end. I wish for every sneaker lover and collecter to experience my business with its future projects, products along with our services we provide.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Honestly, I would take them to the best sneaker and clothing stores in the state; of course, it would be xchange Norfolk, laced function, locker room, hard times skate shop, and snkrvilleva, just to name a few of my favorite spots. I say the best food and most excellent place to enjoy anything Is in Norfolk.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I must give my parents a massive shoutout because, without their fashion sense and knowledge, I wouldn’t have been into sneakers as much or doing the cleaning to restorations at all! My second massive shoutout would be to the stylish crew, and Snkrtub Family and Friends that supported me through all the hard spots life put me in and helping snkrtub be as healthy as it is. I love Them all and thank them daily. Shout out to larry June and problem354 keeping me on my game.
