Meet Cynthia Bivins | Fashion Stylist/Consultant & Creative Director

We had the good fortune of connecting with Cynthia Bivins and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cynthia, we’d love to start by asking you about lessons learned. Is there a lesson you can share with us?
The most important lesson my business has taught me is you will have to go even if no one you think should follow you, is following. Continue to build the culture not the company. If I continue to care about my clients and the way I genuinely want them to look rather than worrying about the money first, the rest will follow.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Cynthia became the CEO and founder of TailorMeByCynthiaB, LLC., TailoredForYou, LLC., and soon to birth Purpose, Heels, and Thrills. TailorMeByCynthiaB, LLC. was officially founded on February 21, 2021. Cynthia has traveled to several cities and states, styling several individuals and groups. Cynthia was asked to participate in the 10th Annual Columbia Fashion Week in June 2021 as a stylist and designer.

She was later asked to be featured in the Vieve Magazine of Columbia, South Carolina. As a child, Cynthia has always known she would work in Fashion, as she would change clothes 3-4 times a day. She participated in several pageants in high schools, such as the Miss VHS and more. In college, she was a part of the Miss ABAC pageant just because she loved to dress up.

Cynthia has always wanted to dress people for fun so starting a fashion business was like second nature. She knew she wanted to make people happy and make them look good at the same time, which is how she came up with the name TailorMebyCynthiaB. She can not only tailor your attire to your liking but tailor your self-esteem.

TailorMe is a personal styling and consulting business, virtually offered as well. TailorMe is designed for men, women, boys, and girls of all ages. TailorMe does and always will aim to build the self-esteem of each individual or group she works with. TailorMe loves to make people feel good while they look good. The company makes sure its clients can look and feel something they have never felt before.

TailorMe accomplishes everything by finding out what the client likes, hates, and is afraid to do. TailorMe asks lots of questions to come up with the perfect look. TailorMe will take all the client’s wants and needs into consideration while creating magic in the end.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Most of my friends are pretty mellow like myself so we are always down for a good winery or a cute lounge. We love to sing and listen to music. In my free time with my friends, I eat and thrift. If we are not brunching, we are out to dinner. We also love arcades. We don’t have any in my area, so we like to travel to visit different arcades and escape rooms.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to dedicate this to all of my clients that believed in me since the beginning of time. I would also like to thank Dominion and Power for letting me play dress up with them every-time we step out. Last but no least I would like to thank my mom Jeanette Cowart for always being so patient with me and washing the 3-4 outfits I would change out of daily lol. It seemed as if I was messing just over clothes but I’ll always believe God was preparing me. I could never repay you but while I’m living I’ll try to come close ❤️
