We had the good fortune of connecting with Curtis Bryant and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Curtis, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor my behind my success, without a doubt is my faith. I identify as spiritual and not religious. This is because, religion unfortunaltey doesn’t include relationship. And that’s what God is all about. Because of my relationship with God, I know when an opportunity is for me and when it’s not. I’ve personally found over the many years, that I’ve been an entrepernuer. That many people are so afraid of losing momentum or not being popular, that they take every opportunity. Which usually makes them exhausted, which then effects the quality of their work. — It’s a terrible cycle. Faith reminds us, that what’s for us, will always find it’s way to us. No need to “steal” all the jobs. Leaving no room for your brothers and sisters to grow and gain experience. My faith has also given me the courage to take “leaps of faith”. We hear a lot about this when it comes to entrepreneurship. If you are reading this and have a huge desire to leave your job, or keep your job but follow your passions. I encourage you to pray first. If praying is not your style, there’s meditation too *wink*. In this moment of centering, listen out for God/Source to speak and show you what you are capable of. Ask a question before you begin and I promise, you will receive an answer. Sometimes we don’t make changes in our lives because we can only hear our confidence and insecurity screaming at the same time. Let faith be the key of success for you too.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
No matter what medium I choose to work in, I find inspiration from life. Whether it’s a conversation, a song, a show or the billion of thoughts in my head. Life is nothing short of inspiring. Some would even say amusing. There’s power in pulling from one’s life and putting it onto a canvas, on paper or in a song. This vulnerability, is often the fun and challenging part of being a creative. Each creative has to decide, how much to share and how much to hold to themselves to heal from privately. One thing we can all agree on, is that the process of creating is a gift. That’s where the growth happens. That’s where the healing happens. That’s where the confidence is built.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
When in Atlanta, everyone should visit the High Museum. Museums have the ability to bring all different types of people together. Artist or not, museums are full of love. And in Atlanta, it’s full of love, family, friends and bright eyed kids. They have wonderful events and the staff is amazing!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicate this to God, my Dad who inspired me to become an entrepernuer and my friends who constantly are great examples of resilience.
