We had the good fortune of connecting with Crystal Lou and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Crystal, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind my success would be my drive to want to retire my mom. Another important factor is God. Without him, I wouldn’t be where I’m at today in my life.

I would say also an important factor to understand is all the hard work, determination, grit, blood, sweat, and tears that it took to get to where I’m at now. A lot of pain and suffering as well grew me to be the person that I’m at now to be able to evolve into the person that I want to become. I look at my future self every single day as a catapult to who I want to be and strive to work up to that person every single day.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
About my business. I run a real estate investment and development firm. We do everything from concept to keys. So everything from the capital raise a side on the equity and debt to land acquisition to construction development to property management. What sets us apart from others is that we also try to help people along their journey. What I am most excited about is all the collaboration and partnerships that I have in place to be to be able to make everything come to fruition that we want. The lessons that I’ve learned along the way have been to keep trying, to never give up, and to make sure that you have the right partnerships in place to be able to execute what you are trying to do. What I want the world to know about me and my Brand story is that I got into real estate to help people. I got into real estate to make a difference and an impact in my communities and to be able to help people along their journey as well. And I got into real estate to retire my mom in 2023 and to give my sister, niece, and nephew an opportunity for a future they never thought they could have. My story is trying to help people along the way on their journey, especially through these hard times, to make positive changes. I wanna build communities where we work together collaboratively. I always say collaboration beats competition So if I can collaborate with amazing people and amazing strategic partners to be able to build what we are trying to build then that does it for me. Another thing I would say about my story is a lot of pain and trauma has pushed me to where I’m at now. I’ve learned a lot along the way on my journey and met a lot of amazing people, and I have met a lot of not-so-amazing people, but you reap what you sew. Life isn’t easy.. Not at all. But, look at the positive in every scenario. What did you learn from it.. what take aways can you pull from it. Weither if its good or bad. We all go through ups and downs and i get it. I feel like I’ve been through more downs lately than good. But, i try to think of the positive of every situation because that’ll grow me into th future woman that i look up to become. My future self is my role model. I don’t compete with anyone but myself. I challenge myself and push myself and try to be the most amazing business partner and friend that i can possibly be to the people that I know.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
my best friend I would bring them to a whole bunch of different restaurants and places in the city that they haven’t been in to. I would definitely go to 2 urban licks on the Beltline and get their salmon chips. they are probably the best i’ve had. I would also take them to Frankie’s in Duluth that has the best food I’ve ever had for an upscale night. I would take them to the beltline and rollerblade or scooter so that they can see the different parts of the city of Atlanta and what we have to bring in the different construction that is going on in the city. my weekend with my family and friends are more about spending quality time together so it would be dinners and having a pizza night and cookies on a Friday night and staying in and having deep conversations about life and ways that I can help them in different ways to better their lives. We would also probably go workout during the weekend too because they all love to learn my different workout techniques of how I was able to grow the body that I have and the eating regimens that I do to be to sustain what I have. I I am more so of a private laid back person and weekends in so our weekends would be more about spending quality time together and eating good food and good conversations.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My mom first and foremost. Without her, I wouldn’t be here today. She’s helped me through a lot in my life, even when I didn’t deserve it. She was always there for me. I also give God the glory because I wouldn’t be here without him. All of my business partners and strategic business partners that I work with every day.
