We had the good fortune of connecting with Crissy Mac and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Crissy, do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
The decision to continue keep going, or to give up, is part of our growth in life, and that’s what makes every choice interesting. I can’t know for sure if i’m doing the right thing, or not but I have to look at the impact it can have on my kids and their future. In certain situations, I have given up but the difference is i never gave up on myself. You have to know when your wasting time, money and energy on something that wont help you get to your end goal. I always ask myself questions when I start on a business or join a venture to make sure it aligns with my overall goals in life. If my answer is no, then it’s time to stop, and cut my losses. If my answer is yes, it’s time to buckle up and get moving. Yes i have quit too early on somethings but i had the mindset to know it was my best decision at the time and i have to be ok with that outcome.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I run a real estate investing academy with my husband and I also help others create a passive income stream through an e-commerce hands off business. In conjunction with my business I’m also a Kidney / Lupus advocate. I’m so proud of all the lives we have impacted and changed through our platforms. I’m where i am today because of my health issues, When I was battling lupus and it was taking me down fast so we decided to sell my house and live life on our own terms. I got into real estate and did extremely well and everyone kept asking us to help them so we started a program to help those in need. My husband took over when i got sick so I I decided to find additional ways to make passive income and go out and help those that were dealing with a chronic illness by creating a youtube channel to document my health journey. I wanted to show others just because you’re sick doesn’t mean life is over. It wasn’t easy because in the process I went into complete kidney failure and had to go on dialysis. It put a hold on my dreams but I never gave up. I continued to keep pushing until my brother decided to give me a kidney which in return gave me my life back. Now i’m an influencer in my space and i’ve learned that life can throw you curve balls but you have to be strong enough to handle it. I want the world to know that health is the new wealth because without that nothing we’re working for matters in life. Now that I have my life back and just celebrated my kidney transplant anniversary start to look out for more of Crissy Mac (IG: @Crissy.Mac) I have some big ventures coming soon.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

I want to give a shout-out to my Husband George @Georgesmovement, who helped me battled through my Lupus and Kidney failure. I wouldn’t be where I am today without his love and support. He has mentored me, love me and encourage me daily to be the business women I am today. So i dedicate my success to him.
I also want to give credit to my kids and my family for all their love and support but a huge thank you to my brother for giving me a kidney so I can be here today living my best life.
