We had the good fortune of connecting with Courtney Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Courtney, Let’s talk about principles and values – what matters to you most?
Evolve or Revolve is a huge core principle for me. Everyday, I strive to grow more , to learn more, to make changes regardless of how big or small. I want everyday to be a little bit better than the day before and I am genuinely thankful for each day regardless if the day was successful or not.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am always creating in different mediums. Rather it’s handmade hair accessories, classroom decor, and my latest adventure publishing a Children’s Book. I spent my entire life thinking because I couldn’t draw or paint that; somehow, that made me less artistic. Now I am creating everything and anything I want because Art is truly subjective. I am so proud of everything that I create, and even when imposter syndrome creeps in, I keep creating or writing. The biggest lesson is no matter how much you love something, there will always be someone that doesn’t like what you create or even like you for that matter…. and that absolutely does not matter. If you want who you are /and what you create, you keep pressing forward.

As far as my brand is concerned, it’s truly is for all of us- children and adults. I want to put the beauty back into everything, one book or accessory at a time.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
One thing about me is that I will find the best Mexican food anywhere.

Monday- first off, we will target because walking through target is therapy, then we will head to Bella Vista 2, located on Iris Drive in Conyers, GA. The food is out of this world, and the service is fantastic every time. A Lil mom and pop restaurant in the back that heals your soul through everything on that menu. They never rush you, the food is always fresh, and you will come back time and time again. From there, we are probably headed to where some animals are- I love animals! I recommend the Creekwater Alpaca Farm out in Snellville. You can get an inexpensive private behind-the-scenes tour, and the people + the animals are amazing.
Tuesday- We wake up at noon because you don’t have to wake up early to enjoy yourself. I can cook anything in the world so let’s get in the kitchen, cook, and head to the GA aquarium. When we finish up there, we will skip over to the world of Coke- free drinks and entertainment because if my friends are visiting, they will want to do the touristy stuff.
Wednesday- let’s paint some pottery at The Creativity Cafe in Mcdonough and enjoy some Korean BBQ. I love Korean BBQ. Some of the best spots are out in Duluth.
Thursday- Let’s hit the international market and make some of those recipes you have been saving from TikTok
The rest of the weekend was just spent catching up and doing nothing; honestly, sometimes, that is the best itinerary.

I am always about doing something where you can be dressed down and enjoy yourself. Where your food eats before your camera does, or you have so much fun you forget even to Instagram it.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I think many people deserve recognition. To start.. my daughter Callahan. She has made me realize so much about myself and has been the force that pushes me to do more and to be better. I also think anyone who supported me and those who rooted against me needs their accolades. The push from the support was always more significant than the pull from those who wanted me to remain stagnant, and for that, I am so grateful. I also want to say thank you to myself because there were times that were dark and really clouded my judgment and made me feel less than. Even when I saw no light at the end of the tunnel, I kept pushing- I have survived 100 percent of my good and bad days, and I am forever humbled and inspired by that alone.
