We had the good fortune of connecting with Courtney Jones and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Courtney, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My decision to go into business for myself stemmed from a desire to live without limitations, create a better life and future for my family, and inspire other women to take that leap of faith as well. The modern work environment can often be toxic, and I firmly believe we’re not meant to live solely for work. Instead, we should focus on doing meaningful work while truly living and enjoying life.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’ve been an early childhood educator for over a decade, and my passion for children and their development has driven my journey. From the beginning, I’ve always loved understanding how young minds grow, and I’ve had the privilege of learning from some of the best mentors in the field. Through hard work, I’ve progressed to becoming a lead teacher and even wrote a creative ebook, Engaged Littles at Home, to support parents in fostering learning beyond the classroom.

Throughout my career, I’ve been recognized for my dedication, earning multiple Teacher of the Month awards across different schools and even a Teacher of the Year (Rookie) award. Being in this industry isn’t for the faint of heart—it’s a role that requires patience, creativity, and grit. However, it’s also incredibly rewarding to be part of a community of loving parents and to see the joy and growth in the children I teach.

One of the things that sets me apart is my ability to bring out my creative side in everything I do. From having to craft engaging lesson plans to creating resources that make learning fun and accessible, I’ve worked hard to infuse creativity into my teaching. I’m proud of the connections I’ve built, not only with the children but also with families who trust me to guide their little ones during such formative years.

The journey hasn’t always been easy. Challenges like burnout, balancing workloads, and navigating the emotional demands of the profession have been real. But I’ve learned to overcome them by focusing on gratitude—being thankful for where I am while also keeping an eye on where I’m going.

Ultimately, I want people to know that my journey doesn’t stop here. While I’ve loved being in the classroom, I know there’s more out there for me. My goal is to expand beyond this industry while continuing to use my creativity and passion for helping others. My story is one of perseverance, growth, and purpose, and I hope to inspire others to find their own path and pursue it with courage through my online consulting and digital marketing!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Although some people love the hustle and bustle of the city, I find the most joy in the suburbs—it’s where my heart truly feels at home. If my best friend were visiting for a week, I’d create the perfect balance of relaxation, nature, and fun-filled adventures.

We’d start the trip outdoors, hiking Kennesaw Mountain to soak in the incredible view of the Atlanta skyline from the top. The fresh air and natural beauty make it the perfect spot to start the week. Afterward, we’d head to Avalon or Halcyon for some retail therapy, indulging in boutique shopping or unwinding at a day spa. For a little activity, we’d squeeze in a Pilates session and then enjoy amazing food—whether it’s Mexican, Italian, or whatever our taste buds are craving, these spots have it all.

To add a taste of the city, we’d spend a day at a United game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, experiencing the energy of the fans and the vibrant atmosphere of Atlanta. While downtown, we’d stop by the iconic Varsity for a classic, nostalgic meal.

Of course, no trip is complete without a mini road trip! We’d make a stop at Buc-ee’s—because who doesn’t love the excitement of exploring everything Buc-ee’s has to offer?—on the way to the outlet malls for even more shopping fun.

This itinerary would capture the best of both worlds—peaceful suburban charm mixed with a little bit of city excitement. It’s the perfect blend to show off the beauty and variety that makes Atlanta and its surrounding areas so special.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to give a heartfelt shoutout to all the strong women I’ve had the privilege of meeting and working with during my network marketing journey. Some of these incredible women have become lifelong friends, mentors, and coaches. Although that particular industry wasn’t my calling, it gave me the unique opportunity to experience sisterhood in a non-traditional way, develop a strong work ethic, and learn the true meaning of grit.

It was also through this experience that I saw firsthand how life can change and how success can be defined on your own terms. That realization continues to fuel me as I pursue my passions, embrace big purposes, and dedicate myself to what I love most—creating.

I also want to give a special shoutout to my husband, who has supported me through every path I’ve taken and given me the space and encouragement to chase my dreams. His unwavering belief in me means everything.
