We had the good fortune of connecting with Coroma Combs and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Coroma, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I honestly sit and ponder and think about the journey and process of C.Rece Knots Creations.  I often feel I’m dreaming or I’m in a time portal that had placed me in a foreign yet exciting space.  It all started from having a desire to purchase a signature piece that expressed who I was as a person.  I searched every outlet; I felt.  I saw many that were almost “me” but not quite.  Then it hit me, you can create your own.  So I visited a few local retail stores and picked up some items I adored and thought I could create something so different and new. During this time, the pandemic was new and affecting so many aspects of the world but I was determined to create.  I got home and begin to “draw” on the canvas.  I created my first piece and I was so proud and felt so accomplished.  I thought if I feel this way, how many other people feel this way.  I reached out to some of my close friends/relatives to get their feedback.  They loved it!!! They were ready to support and order.  I was overwhelmed with the feedback because I never saw myself as an entrepreneur or creative.  The pandemic allowed me to tap into a new and exciting part of me I never knew existed and to know that people support and love your creativity leaves me simply speechless.  Recognizing this “new” part of me has allowed me to branch out into other creative spaces.  It has given me the confidence and courage to be me while allowing others to express themselves through my creativity.  My desire is for C.Rece Knots Creations to be an inspiration and an encouragement to everyone.  Be moved to do something new, different, and challenging; it can open doors and create opportunities.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am proud and excited about my future professionally and personally because of this amazing opportunity. My faith walk has allowed me the opportunity to be introduced and exposed to so many people and opportunities. Honestly, the favor of God has gotten me where I am. The ability and strength he’s given me to push past my inner hinderances. God has placed people in my life to be a blessing and a lesson. Without a consistent prayer and worship relationship with God, none of this would be possible. I’ve learned that even if it doesn’t look logical, faith will make it appear obtainable. Push through the noise; your inner noise, other’s noise. I desire to meet new people, develop lifelong friendships/connections, and be an inspiration and beckon to every gender, race, and walk of life. I want the world to know that C.Rece Knots Creations is a brand that values authentic and genuine connections while exemplifying superb service.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to the various hidden creatives. We need you. Your uniqueness is necessary. I would like to appreciate those friends, family, and supporters that believed in me from the beginning. You pushed me to do more and to be open to being distinctive.
